1. The condo is on the sand on the 2nd floor 20 meters from the water. The snorkeling right in front of the condo is excellent. Half Moon Bay is protected by a reef that is home to thousands of fish. Waves break on the other side of the reef making the bay very calm and the water super clear.
2. We have the best views of the turquoise Caribbean because the wall that faces Half Moon Bay is all windows. You even have a view from the master bedroom.
3. The condo is a large 1300 sq ft and accommodates 5-6 people fairly easily meaning that 2 couples and 2 children can stay without a problem.
4. Because we are at the northern end of the bay, we are both quiet and private. We have hosted many honeymoon couples as well as families.
5. We have a great pool with an attached lap pool on our private grounds. Great for children.
6. The condo features a large private patio (behind locked doors) with Caribbean views, a hammock, table and chairs and a sofa.
7. We also have daily maid service, wifi , satellite tv, a gym, a safe in the condo and we supply beach towels.
8. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, coffee maker, electric juicer, toaster, bbq etc.
9. Our management team has offices on the grounds and are always available to answer questions and fix any problems immediately.
10. We have 8 palapas, lounges and chairs on our beach and around the pool.
11. There is a convenience store in front of the complex.
12. There are 3 restaurants right on Half Moon Bay within yards of the condo and many more on Akumal Bay less than a mile away.
13. The condo is not air conditioned because we have not needed it most of the year and we have chosen to keep our rates lower than the competition. We do have high speed fans throughout the condo and portable tower air coolers. Because we are at the point of the Bay, we are fortunate to have breezes that blow through and keep us comfortable. Customers have told us that during the heat of the summer, they are out on the beach and mostly not in the condo. At night it cools down.
14. The owner has owned this condo for 16 years (since construction) and is very available to aid renters by answering questions about the condo and the activities for visitors to the Akumal area. The condo is full of local art that has been collected over the years.
15. Yal Ku Lagoon, a highlight of the Akumal are, is 250 meters from the condo.
