We moved to beautiful West Michigan from the East Side of the State in 1990. Finding endless opportunity for outdoor recreation in Newaygo County, we built our home in 1996. Wanting to share with others, we opened our guest house in 2002.
Robin purchased this house in 1996
Our property is located on the Muskeon River on 8 acres. It is peaceful, yet only 2 miles from the conveniences of town. More activity is only 45 away in Grand Rapids
The facilties were excellent. The servcie was top notch. What a pleasent suprise. We felt at home and the setting is breathe taking. We could not ask for more. If you are looking for a relaxing peaceful vacation look no further. The attenion to detail on facilties was surprising. This was the best value for the dollar we have experienced and we vacation and traval all over the country. The Muskegon River is a fishermans dream, the secluded setting without being far from town is great. Thank you for a great stay.
If you are looking for a great place to relax after a long day of fishing don't look any further than this guesthouse.
We live on the other side of the state and it seems like life is go go go. Your home was a perfect place for us to unwind. The setting was outstanding!! The home is very comfortable. We played Newagopoly and taught the kids how to play euchre. Downtown was nice as well. Roscoe (our GSD) also appreciated being able to come with us!!
Lovely place to relax in a tucked away spot in the secluded woods by the Muskegon River. We enjoyed quiet walks, a few bike rides with bikes provided by owner, horseback riding close by, fishing, and rafting down the pokey, relaxing river. If you are in need of a get-a-way that is away from it all, then this is great! One super-great bonus was being able to bring our dog~she loved the walks thru the woods!!! They even provided a doggy bowl. How sweet! Thank you so much. :)
The only disappointment was not being able to "see" the river that was only a few hundred feet behind the house due to all the trees! : ) We imagine in a different season, it is probably visible.
The owners were very polite. The house was clean and reasonably priced.
The view to the river very nice. Located just the correct distance from being able to
Drive to the bigger cities to sight see. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the homemade breakfast.
Highly recommend to try this out.
