Your vacation home destination is just outside Kiptopeke State Park, just minutes to the beach, walking & bike trails and boat launch. Bring your boat, as parking is available. Kiptopeke, one of the nations best state parks, offers 540 acres of coastal wonderland and is a major causeway for migratory birds. Be sure to check out the weekly programs. We are 6 miles south of historic Cape Charles, with shopping, restaurants and antiquing. Just 3 miles south you'll find the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, known as one of the Seven Engineering Wonders of the Modern World. For those who crave a little excitement just head across the bridge and in just 45 minutes you'll find yourself in downtown Virginia Beach. Rentals run Saturday to Saturday during the summer. This was a wonderful vacation and I was very happy with the beautiful home and area that Cape Charles had to offer. I liked the location at the entrance to Kiptopeke State park and so close to the Chesapeke Bay Bridge. We took great day trips to the Outer Banks and Virginia Beach, it was close and a beautiful drive. Everyone was friendly and offered lots of suggestions of things to do in the area. Thank you!

Awesome family vacation!

The kids and us loved coming "home" to the condo after spending the day at the beach or site seeing. My daughter especially loved the day trip to Chincoteague/Assateague islands. Fran's condo was filled with amenities down to the smallest detail including kites and games for the kids to bikes for the whole family. The internet WIFI was great for referencing info, maps and addresses for directions to local attractions. I highly recommend this vacation property to anyone seeking a spacious home in a quiet setting close to the Norfolk and VA Beach area as well. Fran provided super service and excellent communication leading up to our vacation. Thx!

Time with family

Our stay was from 06/20/09 to 06/27/09. We had our entire family, including our son in the Army, together and enjoyed our time even though it was short. The house is located in the perfect place. Close to Virginia Beach and other sites around the area. The house was very clean and in a very quiet area. The beach was perfect and very close. We went on a dolphin boat ride but had to cut is short due to a storm that came in but the ride was one of the highlights of our trip. The house is very roomy and very comfortable. It was really nice to have the convienence of a washer/dryer on site. Great for beach towels after a day at the beach. The beds are very comfortable. The house is very well equipped. We would highly recommend this house for family get togethers.

Great Spot for a Family Vacation

Loves the Eastern Coast Ohio

My husband and two teen-agers enjoyed the spacious Condo and Kiptopeke Park. The nearest beach is moments away, and there are two other beaches within 10 minutes. The one in the town of Cape Charles is a little larger than the one in the park and more active if that's what you are looking for. We golfed at the nearby Arnold Palmer course which you have access to through a guest pass at the Condo. You can rent clubs if you did not bring any. The fishing was very successful! Neighbors and townsfolk are very welcoming. We spent a fun day at Chincoteague (about 70 minutes north) and the nature preserve next door to it. There you have access to the Atlantic from an uncrowded beach. Eastville Inn is an historic and friendly restaurant which serves tasty local wines and great local seafood. Agua is a little more modern, with wonderful seafood and a sunset view. Fran made the rental process very easy and the property is very well-maintained. The trails in the park are relatively level, with packed sand and grass, and would accommodate strollers or wheelchairs as well as bikes. Enjoy!

Honeymoon Getaway...

My wife and I stayed at this location for a week time--what a tremendous stay! Everything was perfect; ample room, great accomodations, and best of all--wireless internet for us young 20 year olds.

You will not regret going to Cape Charles VA. Locally, there is Kiptopeke State Park RIGHT next to the lodging, and great restaurants and local shopping only about 5 miles away. The golf course was pretty amazing; they treat you like royalty and you get state of the art equipment as well as great looking greens.

The book on the counter, has great recommendations for things to do. The town house itself has a great selection of DVD's (actually popular movies), which can be viewed on the very nice 25+ in. flatscreen TV.

Great stay!
