Cape Charles is a quiet, laid back town from yesteryear where charm and nostalgia abound. Solitude awaits you by the bay, on the docks, along the beach, and among the marshes and inlands of the seaside estuary. You may find yourself conversing with locals and visitors alike, sharing stories of what brought each of you to this wonderful little town. It is a place you go to in order to slow down, reconnect, and rejuvenate.

While at first it may appear that there is little to do in this sleepy town, nothing could be further than the truth. Activities include kayaking (bayfront and seaside), bird watching at Kiptopeke State Park, swimming and sunbathing, golf at Nicklaus' Signature Golf Course, antiquing, visiting the specialty shops of downtown Cape Charles, bike riding, eco-tours, surf- and deep-sea fishing, crabbing and fishing off the local pier, beach combing, visit museums, fine dining and day trips to Tangier, Chincoteague, Assateague, and Virginia Beach, Williamsburg.

Additional Information: Although families are always welcome, this home in not child safe and may not be suitable for families with young children. Rate quoted is for a maximum occupancy of 6. Occupancy above 6 may incur additional charges. Rate does not include a $400 security deposit.

With its magnificent Magnolia trees, flowering plants and rose bushes, every corner you turn is more breathtaking than the last; the community is a garden oasis second to none. For Bay Creek residents and their guests only, you will find a private beach, swimming pools, and tennis courts. Nestled against one of the man-made lakes within Bay Creek, decompression will continue as you sip Margaritas on the back deck of The Lake House. Your home away from home will provide you with all the luxuries you would expect within such an upscale community. The spacious master bath offers separate shower and whirlpool tub. When night falls, the day’s activities will melt away, as all mattresses are top-of-the-line pillow top.

Thinking about making this an annual trip...

The trip was wonderful. We all loved the bay (the calm, warm water) and the resort was so peaceful. Many days we were the only ones at the beach – it was just what we needed. The house was great – big enough that we never felt like we were on top of each other. We spent almost every morning having coffee on the back deck watching the geese and ducks fly in to the lake. Our last night we watched the sunset on the beach – the kids thought that was great.

wonderful get away

If you are looking for the perfect getaway this is it. The house is beautiful the surroundings are prestine. The private beach peaceful.
My family and I had the greatest time and would with out a doubt rent this house again. Fishing its there fun in the sun its there all with the quiet and peace of home and if its the city you crave virginia beach is just a short drive away but id recommend the private beach or pool located on the beautiful bay creek resort property . The property was exactly as advertised with everything you need including beach equipment . We would give it 10 out of 10.

The house was even nicer than we expected from the description. It was very spacious and all the furnishings were great. Much nicer than other rentals we've had in the area. We also loved the Bay Creek community. There are two golf courses in the community and the landscaping is incredible: lots of magnolia trees and manicured lawns. The private beach and community pool were great.options for young kids. Overall the perfect vacation rental for families with young kids.

Nice house, great view

We had a wonderful experience staying at the lake house. The view from the backyard was fantastic and secluded by landscaping. The property was clean and well maintained. We loved the pool located on site. It was never busy and extremely nice. We also took advantage of golfing while on-site. I would recommend this location for anyone who enjoys golfing. There are 2 very nice courses to choose from. We also spent some time in Virginia Beach (a 40 minute drive) enjoying the fireworks and nightly performances on Beach Street USA as well as a concert at the Virginia Beach Ampitheatre. My husband also enjoyed a few days of fishing. The property location offered a lot of activities for people of all ages. Most appliances/utensils, etc. in the house were much better grade than found in other rental properties. The washing machine was a heavy load washing machine (great for washing all the beach towels, etc. at once). I would definitely stay at this facility again!
