Great 3 BR home on cul-de-sac with a very short walk to Linnell Landing Beach (ideal for children), beautiful sunsets, large screened porch with cable TV, covered patio with built in barbecue grill, nice back yard with lawn furniture, nearby Nickerson State Park, bike paths, live theater. Many fine restaurants includes renowned Chilllingsworth & Brewster Fish House (acclaimed by Julia Childs). Brewster is also home of the 36 Hole Captains' Golf Course, Museum of Natural History, Brewster Mill & Herring Run, Sunday Band Concerts. Cape Cod Baseball League member Brewster Whitecaps. Walk to bus service for Provincetown and Hyannis.

Bay Side Cottage: The cottage is located on the desirable north side of Rte 6A within walking distance of Cape Cod Bay. In addition we are a short hop to renovated bike paths running from Yarmouth to Provincetown and Harwich to Chatham. A one minute drive to Nickerson State Park for picnics or fresh water swimming, hiking or fishing or ride your bikes to the park to ride its bike trails. Our Flying Mist cottage is a short walk to public transportation to Hyannis or quaint Provincetown for great food, art galleries and spectacular views.

Excellent Family Vacation Getaway

This was our first vacation to Cape Cod. The cottage was in excellent, clean condition upon our arrival. The owners were there when we first arrived, they were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for our vacation, and then they did not come by for the rest of our vacation. The cottage was in a perfect walking distance to the beach. The beach was great, especially for our 8,10, and 12 year old children. At low tide they played for hours. In the evening we could walk down and watch the sunset. The cottage also was a perfect walking distance to Nickerson State Park and the Rails to Trails bike paths. We enjoyed the location, in that it was not a huge tourist town at all. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. We enjoyed cooking on the outdoor fire grill. The kids could ride their bikes on the small street without a worry. All in all I think we could definitely vacation here again!

Needs Care and Updating

We would not recommend staying at this cottage. It could have used a more thorough cleaning prior to our arrival and it has uncomfortable furniture and very old and clunky appliances. It also had some unexpected inconveniences including an unusable charcoal grill, broken outdoor furniture, no frying pan and bedroom closet doors that kept coming untracked. We also found the location to be too far from the beach to walk with young kids.

Best Location!!

Perfect for kids. 10 minute walk to fabulous Linnell Landing beach and spectacular sunsets, 10 minute walk to bike rental on the Rail Trail. 15 minute walk to Nickerson State Park's children's playground. 5 minute walk to Cobie's ice cream is an afternoon must. House was clean and neat - well used, but everything you need is included and in good working order.
