The history of the house: The house is immaculate and all furnishings are new (furniture, mattresses, linens, towels, etc.).
Because we used to be renters we have tried to reduce what you'll need to pack by stocking our house with everything we think you'll need for a comfortable stay. There is a can of coffee next to the coffeemaker as well as tea bags, sugar, creamer, salt and pepper, and cooking spray. We also give you aluminum wrap, plastic wrap, a new scouring sponge and cleaning products such as dishwashing detergent and spray bottles to clean the table and counters after a meal. We supply paper products such as paper towels, napkins, toilet paper and kleenex as well as soap, shampoo and conditioner. There are also 2 hair dryers, and we provide all your towels and washcloths as well as an abundant supply of beach towels. The house has a large capacity washer and dryer that you are welcome to use. We leave laundry detergent and stain remover for you.
The main level and loft: The house has two levels plus a loft. Each level has a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom so two families could easily share the house. The main level has a great room (combining living room, dining room and kitchen) with sliding glass doors to the deck; a master bedroom with a king size bed, cable TV and DVD player, master bathroom and walk-in closet; a second bathroom with a jetted tub; a laundry room with a large capacity washer and a dryer; and a loft over the great room, which includes a queen size sleeper sofa and desk.
As you can see from the picture, the kitchen is modern, spacious and clean. There is a coffee maker, blender and toaster and abundant dishes, glassware, cookware, and serving pieces, including plastic dishes for kids.
The dining area has a table and six chairs. There are also 4 bar stools that surround the kitchen island and a high chair.
The main floor great room has a gas fireplace, cable TV and a DVD player.
The lower level and outdoors: The lower level has a living room (with a queen sleeper sofa) and cable TV with a DVD player. There are sliding doors to the patio. The lower level also has a second full kitchen; two bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with a queen) and a full bathroom. It also has its own thermostat separate from the main floor for your comfort.
We offer a paddle boat and a row boat with a small motor down by the beach. There are beach chairs and a beach umbrella for those who don't like the direct sun. We have life preservers for small children all the way up to adult size. There is plenty of sports equipment for those times the kids don't want to be in the water. Besides the paved area by the garage where the basketball hoop is there is a substantial backyard to enjoy as well as a swingset. In the winter the hill down to the lake makes a fantastic sled hill and we are right next to snowmobile trails. We keep a binder in the living room with area attractions (winter and summer) and direction
Ski:
Within comfortable driving distance there is a winter sports complex that offers ice skating (including a small trail into the woods), cross country skiing and an Olympic quality luge (one of only 3 in the country as I understand) that is open to the public and at a modest cost.
Golf:
There is a premiere golf course within a few miles from the house.
