Great Vacation

My family loved this house. The house was very clean. There were a lot of steps, but when you're at the beach you're going to have steps. The house is tastefully decorated. We felt very welcome and at home.
The kitchen is huge and very well stocked with dinnerware, silverware, cooking utensils....the only things missing were a sturdy can opener and serving spoons. I loved the large island in the center and the pantry. It was nice having a dining room table and chairs big enough for the whole family to sit together.
The beach, shopping and restaurants are only a short walk. Even though we were only a block and a half from the "center" of activity, there was no noise issue. We could enjoy the music from Coconut Joe's without being in the crowd if we were sititng on one of the balconies. The music could not be heard in the house. My grandaughter loved all the shops. We ate at Banana Cabana. The food, service and atmosphere were great. We sat outside and enjoyed the music provided by the couple that was singing. We were just a few steps from the beach for a nice after dinner walk. My daughter and son-in-law ate at Hucks....again just a few steps from the beach. She said it was her favorite meal of the week.
The kids loved the pool which is completely fenced in. It was just large enough for a family to enjoy.
It was really nice that each bedroom had its own full bath and balcony. One of the bathrooms is not actually in the bedroom but is in the hall right outside the door.
Two washers and dryers were great. There are plenty of towels and washcloths as well as a cabinet well stocked with beach towels.
For those who like game tables, there are two in the basement game room. We didn't use them because we were too busy doing other stuff.
Charleston is close enough that we took a couple of days to do some sightseeing. The location is close to almost any sightseeing anyone would want to do.
The beach is very clean.....very family friendly. We appreciate the fact that alcohol is not allowed on the beach. The only crowded section was closer to the pier.
This was the most relaxing beach vacation. I have experineced. When we left all said we would like to come back next year.
