This is the smaller of two rental houses on a 1-1/2 acre park in a quiet and intimate Tahoe-like setting. Just an hour from San Francisco, the cottage is on the grounds where Lu Watters (1912-1989), traditional jazz musician of international fame, built his home.
Conveniently located near highway 101, the wine country, 3 miles from Sonoma Stage University.
We could have not asked for a nicer place to stay as we explored San Francisco and the surrounding area. The cottage was well furnished and comfortable. Location was great too, close to highway 101, easy to get to SF or over to the coast and north to the big trees. Great vacation home and nice owners.
We recently stayed at the Sage Hen and it was just awesome. Ron upgraded us to the larger property for our convenience since someone else had booked the cottage. That way we did not have to leave early on our departure date. What a wonderful surprise and what a great guy. Both properties are just beautiful. They are beautifully decorated and very homey. We plan on staying here again in the future. You will have everything you need right here. Location, quiet and close to antiques and Sonoma State.
Ron and Brooke were so gracious and fun to chat with. I stayed for two nights at the cottage and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The garden is just a place to take in that much needed sensory recharge. Ron gave me a tour of the house he built, pretty amazing woodwork. Brooke's almond cookies were just amazing. She whipped up a batch for me for the road!! I would stay here again and again. Very nice folks.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was quiet, but yet close to anywhere we wanted to explore. The gardens are gorgeous. Everything was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well maintained. Thank you Ron for your wonderful hospitality! We hope to come back again. Than & Char
As all the reviews have stated, everything about this place is perfect!
The cottage has everything one would need and more, and the grounds are an amazing display of natural design landscaping, with gardens, multi-level patios, many different birds and a country kind of quiet in the air, even tho it's just moments from the highway!
Bravo al progettista
Ron's cottage was idyllic; the perfect spot to be home-base for our wine country excursion!! The cottage itself is impecably clean & comfortable, with WAY more room than it looks like it should have. :o) He's made excellent use of his space. He even invited us to lounge around on his bricked patio during our meals- it's fully equipped with hammock, outdoor furniture & more birds than you can count. He's created an amazing, inviting space that we look forward to coming back to again!!
Located in the Sonoma valley, in the middle of wine country.
Cotati is also known as 'The Hub of Sonoma County.'
