Fabulous ocean views from every room in this beautifully renovated two bedroom, two bath condo! This is one of the finest light and bright units in the condominium complex. From the balcony you can overlook the pool & also look down the beach for miles. Watch rocket launches from your own private balcony as Cape Canaveral (Kennedy Space Center) is just south of New Smyrna Beach.

New Smyrna Beach offers swimming, walking, biking, surfing, fishing, kite flying, shopping... or just lay back & listen to the ocean, watch the dolphins, manatees & enjoy the spectacular sunrises & sunsets. There are no cars on this portion of the beach, just beautiful white sand, pelicans, sand crabs, & sea turtles. Downtown New Smyrna Beach is a quaint town with waterfront seafood restaurants, surrounding marinas, deep-sea fishing charters, casino cruises, river cruises, nature preserves, & the Ponce Inlet fishing jetty. New Smyrna Beach straddles the Atlantic Intra-coastal Waterway & is really two towns in one. It is part island & part inland, oceanfront, & riverfront, complete with two downtowns.
Just a short distance south of our condo is the Canaveral National Seashore, a 57,000 acre national park nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. Canaveral National Seashore is one of the longest stretches of pristine coastline in the United States. NASA & the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services protect this long barrier island from the construction & development so prevalent on many Florida beaches. The park provides visitors with hiking trails, campsites, a restored turn-of-the-century home, museum & a visitors’ information center, which provides ranger-led educational programs throughout the year. It is home to more than 250 species of birds and land animals. Sea turtles often do their nesting along the beaches and the Seashore. Canaveral National Seashore serves as a refuge for endangered & protected species of Florida wildlife.
Grocery stores & restaurants are just seconds/minutes away. You can actually walk across the street (a block away) to one plaza with a grocery store, restaurant and shops. Also every Saturday morning try to make the Farmer's Market off Canal Street from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The second Saturday of each month is New Smyrna's car show on Canal Street. Come see these classic cars. There is also a water taxi available that you should check out for its schedule.
Nearby attractions include St. Augustine (oldest city in the United States) 45 minutes away; Daytona Beach 25 minutes away including the International Speedway; Cape Canaveral 30 minutes away; & south Orlando attractions just over an hour away (Disney, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, LegoLand & Gatorland). Port Canaveral (about 35 minutes away) has all the large cruise ships going to the Bahamas, etc. Take a weekend trip there while vacationing in New Smyrna. So much to do in the sunshine state!

My husband and I have always dreamed of owning a second home in New Smyrna Beach and now it is a reality for us. As a real estate broker/owner in the Orlando area, this is our home away from home. We have had fun remodeling our beach condo to personalize it to our taste. Just to see and hear the ocean waves from our spacious, light and bright condo makes us feel like we are on vacation. We enjoy boating and New Smyrna Beach has Ponce Inlet for quick access out of the intercoastal and into the Atlantic Ocean.
Susan Logan purchased this condo in 2000
We chose New Smyrna Beach over other beach towns because of its beautiful, pristine beaches, state parks, and proximity to the north Orlando area (only about 45 minutes away). It has a quaint village feel... not to big and not too small with many choices for restaurants and shopping. Money Magazine voted New Smyrna Beach as one of the top beach towns in the southeast. Fly into Orlando/Sanford airport and within 45 minutes you will be at our condo on the beach!
We loved watching the awesome space shuttle launches off our balcony and now the rocket launches (being just north of the Kennedy Space Center). There is no driving on our beach which is another reason we chose this location over others. Take a boat ride up the intercoastal to Ponce Inlet for lunch or dinner. Enjoy seeing the dolphins and an occasional manatee while on a local boat cruise. Come be our guests, you won't be disappointed. New Smyrna is Orlando's #1 beach. It is picture perfect and has two downtowns for great shopping.

JUST DO IT.
We wanted this “No Drive” section of New Smyrna Beach for walking, swimming and lazing around. It is also close enough to all the nearby attractions and restaurants.
The kitchen is nicely equipped; the beds comfortable; the balcony perfect for surveying the beach.
Roomy, comfortable, light and airy . . . we were smitten.
Beach sunsets never get old…and this condo couldn’t be better for a great vacation.
The only negative: we wish we could have stayed longer.
What a gorgeous place with open concept design. Extremely clean and luxurious. The size of the rooms were ample and easy to maneuver. Kitchen is fully supplied with all the tools needed for preparing tasty meals to enjoy while watching ever-changing colors of the ocean. A nice sized counter space at the entry is great for holding groceries and all the treasures from shopping. The beds are comfy with high quality linens. Each room is nicely decorated in a welcoming beach style. The use of local artist's work is a peasant way to enjoy the local flavor. The furnishings are in perfect condition and the arrangement makes it easy for a family to enjoy. We could watch the sunset from the entrance and enjoyed the sunrise on the terrace just steps from the sand the next morning.. The only noise was the constant sound of the surf.
We enjoyed the spacious pool and terrace area, just a few steps from the sand. The hot tub is welcoming after enjoying all there is to do within a short distance from the building. The landscaping and building are well maintained. The fifth floor view is breathtaking.
The unit at Hacienda del Sol II is the perfect getaway and is an excellent value for the price. We hope to enjoy more relaxing times here again. The listing description is accurate. The photos were up to date. Susan and Barry were easy to reach and could answer questions and are very knowledgeable of the area. We would definitely recommend the property. We would recommend taking a beach walk to the nearby Mexican restaurant or the beach bar/grill.
My wife and I spent a relaxing week at Susan and Barry’s condo during December
We had been on the go quite a bit and this was the perfect getaway.
Beautifully maintained, great beach with a wonderful balcony and view.
The decorating is very tasteful and comfortable with outstanding amenities.
Some great restaurants in town and on the beach with well stocked shopping
stores within a short drive.
We also found a very pleasant attitude among the other guests and staff.
We would rate our stay very highly and among the best we have visited.
This is our 2nd time staying at this condo; we returned because it is fabulous. It is very clean, bright and cheerfully decorated. The owners are very available, and answer all questions. The views from the living room and balcony can't be beat. The pictures online are totally accurate. Very well equipped with all the cookware, servingware, beach chairs, boogie boards you need. Beds are very comfortable and linens are top quality.
The Hacienda del Sol II amenities are super - clean pool, well kept grounds, beach just a few steps away, 3 gas barbeque grills available, lots of chairs and lounges by the pool AND facing the ocean.
Highly recommend eating and kayaking at JB's Fish Camp. Dinners at PJ's and Blackbeard's were super. Flager Avenue is fun to walk around - eat subs at Manzoli's (sp?). Breakfast at The Golden Biscuit on Canal Street.
My husband and I really loved staying at Susan's beach condo. The location was excellent. There is a grocery store within walking distance. The beach was very private and had a resort feel. The condo was stocked with games, 3 televisions, and all the comforts to make our vacation wonderful. We will be back!
I have been privileged to be a guest in this condo several times since 2001. The property is always exceptionally clean and well maintained. Susan always makes sure that the condo is to our expectations and provides little things like coffee, a few sodas, and some goodies to get us by till we grocery shop. The balcony has a chaise lounge that combined with the sounds of the waves makes for a great nap, even in cooler weather. Walking on the beach and looking for turtles during the nesting season is also a favorite. My family and several friends observed a shuttle launch from the balcony in 2008. The view of the launch was amazing and will be remembered for many years. New Smyrna Beach is a unique little town with several interesting restaurants, a French bakery, some very unique shops and a water taxi that is well worth checking out. The water taxi makes several round trips a day to various points of interest, most across the Ponce de Leon inlet. I recommend you take it to lunch or dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants that are summer stops. If you are privileged to have an opportunity to visit Susan’s condo, you will not be disappointed with your accommodations.
Kennedy Space Center - Cape Canaveral rocket launch viewing direct from unit's balcony; Canaveral National Seashore State Park in New Smyrna Beach; Disney World, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Seaworld, & Gatorland in nearby Orlando. Daytona International Speedway is 30 minutes away; and St. Augustine nearby as well.
