The map below is deceiving in that Phoenix looks somewhat far from Glendale. Glendale borders Phoenix and Peoria. They are so close in some places you could have one foot in one city, and the other foot in the other city!! The condo is located just south of Highway 101, east of 75th Ave. It is two miles north of Arrowhead Town Center, three miles from the Peoria Sports Center, and a quick fifteen minute drive down the freeway to the University of Phoenix Stadium where Super Bowl 2008 was played! The city of Surprise is 20 to 30 minutes away depending on traffic. Shopping and restaurants abound in the neighborhood, yet this condo is situated in a quiet, resort-like setting to make a quiet get-away.
Other Activities: Spring Training, Sporting Events, Indian petroglyphs, Old Town Scottsdale, car shows, golfing, library, parks, zoos, antiques, hiking, biking, boating, swimming, shopping, are all within minutes of the condo. Within two hours are the Grand Canyon, Indian Ruins, Historical Sites/Mansion, Lowes Observatory, Meteor Crater, Karchtner Caverns, Biosphere, and much more!
Golf: I don't know much about the golf areas, but know there are plenty, so until I have time to google them, that's something you may want to do because I have heard it's pretty much a golfer's paradise around here!
Ski: There are two major snow skiing areas, the Snowbowl, and Sunrise Ski Resort, in AZ, and both are within two to three hours of the condo.
