Our house sits on 20 forested acres near top of a mountain at the edge of the Sonoma County Wine Country near the village of Cazadero (general store, wonderful bakery, performing arts camp). Our property lies within hundreds of acres of redwood and oak forest, farmland and vineyards. Private pool, hot tub, wrap-around porch; pergola with hammocks; LR; DR; kitchen; outdoor grill. 1 mile to Austin Creek; 8 miles to Russian River; 15 miles to Pacific Ocean. 50 miles to Napa Valley; 85 miles to San Francisco.

There is great hiking beginning at our front door and we are are minutes from the Russian River resort areas and the Pacific Coast (at Jenner, Bodega Bay, etc.), canoeing, kayaking, wineries, golf, giant redwoods, an 18th century Russian fort and world class restaurants.

  • Security deposit required. Rent quote does not include state and local taxes.
  • $500 deposit due at booking. 80% ($400) refunded if reservation canceled up to 30 days before arrival date. 50% ($250) refunded if reservation canceled between 14 and 30 days before arrival date. No deposit refunded if reservation canceled within 14 days of arrival date. Balance of rent plus $600 security deposit due 7 days before arrival date. Payments accepted in cash, personal check, certified check or money order. Security deposit will be returned within 14 days of departure date.

Notes: This is a forested area and children are welcome. We have two small children who love it there, but they need to be watched carefully. Pool has locked waist-high gate. No Smoking in the house, pool or hot tub, but outside okay. Driveway is 3/4 miles long, fairly steep and dirt. You should have no problem on the driveway during the dry season (May - October), but we recommend an all-wheel drive vehicle during wet months (November - April). There is a color TV for viewing DVDs or VCRs but there is no commercial (network, cable or satellite) reception. Cell phone reception is spotty at best.
