PETS: Please DO NOT bring a dog or cat to the cottage without prior written approval. Aggressive breeds are never welcome due to large number of small children and pets in the neighborhood. For Example: Pit Bulls or any dog having any degree of pit bull in its blood lines are never acceptable. Boxers, German Shepards, chows, any dog or breeds known for chasing small critters such as rabbits, squirls and cats, or any dog that has not been neutered are generally not going to be acceptable. No pets (except for service animals) will ever be permitted under any circumstance without prior written approval by owner.
Local Environment: Our 7 acre estate is located on a shallow water cove with a boat channel deep enough to handle most boats common to lakes. We have about 600 feet of lake front and are situated on a road that dead ends near our property line. There are half a dozen young children in neighborhood and half a dozen dogs that roam the area on a regular basis. The kids and the dogs are all well behaved. The guest house is situated about 300 feet off the road and is adjacent to approximately 1000 acres of undeveloped wood land. Fishing in the cove is excellent for Cat Fish, Brim, Crappie and Bass. The estate is 5 minutes from a Marina and convenience store and about 20 minutes from two Super Wal-Marts and assorted restaurants and fast food franchises Our dock is large enough to handle two boats not exceeding 25 feet. Boats are not under cover.
Additional Charges / Conditions: Our rate is $125 per night (plus tax of 12%) for up to 6 occupants. Above 6, there is a charge of $10 per night per person over the initial 6 people. The maximum number of people allowed is 9. We do not rent to high school or college groups unless parents are present during the entire rental period. The law does not permit persons under 21 drinking alcoholic beverages and the DNR does not permit fireworks of any kind or outdoor fires other than the gas grille we provide. These conditions are very strictly enforced for the protection of the neighborhood and to prevent legal action against the estate owner.
