Awake as the scenic Virginia sunrise welcomes you and enjoy the warm hues as the sun sets over the Blue Ridge Mountains. The wild blue heron and other indiginous birds welcome you as you begin your day on the lake. Our deep water cove is a favorite spot for local fisherman to come and catch large mouth bass and catfish. The gentle slope from the house to the waterside dock makes it perfect for all ages. Swimming and tubing can be enjoyed right from our private dock. While we enjoy spectacular views of the main part of the lake, our cove is quiet and wake-free. Come and enjoy what Smith Mounatin Lake has to offer!

For a historical excursion, travel 20 minutes to Bedford ,Va and visit the Booker T. Washington Monument and the National D-Day Memorial. Just OK.

The pictures are obviously very old. The yard is overgrown, the porch has a huge "dip" in the middle and felt unsafe for an adult to walk on, and you had to wear shoes on the dock so that you wouldn't get splinters in your feet! On a positive note, the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. Smith Mountain Lake was great and we will return, but not to this property!
Owner's Response: As homeowner who waived the security deposit because i was told that my house would be kept in an orderly condition, i was lied to about how many people would be staying/coming to the house for the six nights. I was told five adults but approx. 20 people came several times during the stay. The pictures do not lie, yes the rugs are a different color and new along with all new bedding and appliances. My house is in excellent condition for a vacationer. The lawn was not manicured, during this time due to misunderstanding with the landscaper. Due to the fact that the renters and my agreements did not meet, i will not allow this family back again.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this house last summer. Everything was in good shape and the owners were great to deal with. It has a great location on the lake and a wonderful view. We will come again.

Perfect place to stay

This property was a great place to stay. It is far enough from town that you feel like you have your privacy but yet not so far that you were too far away from civilization. The house was very clean and I hope to get to stay there again next year. The house is very roomy and made me feel like I was at home.

The house was perfect for our long weekend get away. The deck over looking the lake was perfect for morning coffee and relaxing in the evening watching the beautiful sunsets. Swimming and sunbathing was made easy with the huge dock and ladders into the water. The owner was responsive to all our questions and the house fit our needs perfectly. We highly recommend this property! This was our first trip to Smith Mountain Lake, but it will not be our last.
