Set up high on a hill and nestled amidst the pine trees, this four year old, private and spacious contemporary home overlooks Lake Ashmere (across the road) in Hindsdale. The great room with cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the lake, is open to the dining and kitchen area. Master bedroom loft suite also has spectacular views. Front deck overlooking lake with hot tub. Beautiful cedar lined screen porch with comfortable outdoor furnishings. Professionally decorated with all new furnishings (including pillowtop mattresses). Perfect layout for one or 2 families vacationing together or an adult getaway. Feels secluded and private, yet only 10 minutes to Pittsfield (supermarket, mall, cinemas).

The Berkshires has something for everyone year round, but especially in the summer months. We are a short drive to the popular cultural attractions, such as Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Shakespeare and Berkshire Theatres, Shaker Hancock Village and Norman Rockwell Museum. For the shoppers, we are close to the Lee Outlet Center, Berkshire Mall and many antique and art galleries. For our physically active guests, there are plenty of local opportunities to go horseback riding, fishing, golfing, swimming and biking (Appalachian Rail Trail). We have a tandem kayak on site that can be launched across the street.

    A 50% deposit is required to secure reservation. During peak season, only refundable if property is successfully rented to another party.
  • Cleaning is provided at an additional charge of $150 and is required at least once a week. Additional cleaning fees may apply if house is not left in reasonable condition or extra garbage pick up is required.

  • The Master Bedroom is a loft with pine paneled cathedral ceilings and skylights. The balcony looks out onto the lake through the floor to ceiling windows of the front of the house. There is a small seating area, a walk in closet and full bath. The supplementary sleeping accommodations are as follows- 2 Queen Futons and One Twin Bunk Bed on the Lower Level. Linens for all beds are provided, along with 4 sets of bath towels. Additional towels for hot tub or swimming may be required and must be supplied by the renter.

Notes: All bed linens and cooking equipment are included. Housekeeping fees are not included in the rental fee, but housekeeping is required. This is a great house for families with the open floor plan and additional sleeping accommodations on the lower level. There is a large, furnished screen porch off the kitchen/dining area that has pine panelled ceilings and spot lighting. It is a great gathering place for evening activities such as gaming or dining. The front deck houses the hot tub and some additional outdoor seating.

This area has a lot to offer even when summer is over! It is only 20 minutes from Jiminy Peak, which is the largest ski resort in the area. If the lake is frozen, you can skate, snowmobile or use an ATM via lake access across the street. The driveway can be a great sledding hill when it snows. The house is 10 minutes from a Barnes and Noble and the Berkshire mall if winter activities don't appeal to you. The spring, and especially the fall, are also beautiful in the Berkhires and there are plenty of outdoor activities.
