Perfect, Relaxing, Immaculate Vacation Home

We have rented many beach houses over the last 10 years, and this was BY FAR our best experience. 'Talk about a stress-free trip! The home was SPOTLESS, tastefully decorated, offered ample privacy, and well-appointed with everything we needed right at our fingertips. And did I mention "white-glove" clean? Important to clean-freak families: the linens were premium and freshly laundered, as were the towels. The bathrooms and kitchen were fully stocked with toilet paper, soap, trash bags, etc. With 1 King, 2 Queens, and room for 4 "Twin" beds, the sleeping arrangements were flexible and perfect - particularly for our children's crucial mid-day naptimes (the bedrooms close off from the common area via a door so you can "live" while naptimes and bedtimes are happening!) With only about 20 stair steps down to the beach (visible from the entire back of the home and patios), it was easy for the grandparents and small kids to get down to the beach and convenient for inevitable potty breaks back up to the house when necessary. The towels and linens were brand new and very clean. There were hooks where there should be hooks for drying beach towels and clothes, shelves and hangers in ample closet space to enable us to store belongings and keep the rooms tidy and organized, a kitchen with all the preparation basics provided, a fully operational grille, a good selection of adult and children's books, an adequate game cabinet, and a summer farmer's market right up the street. Because the house was so easy to live in, we grilled in a lot (we usually wind up eating out a lot which is expensive and a struggle with 4 kids under age 6), which was wonderful with little kids. Grand Haven is right up the street, Holland and Saugatuck are a quick drive south - we even got to go and see the street performer's series on Thursday evening in Holland (a huge hit with our kids). Golf (both real and mini) were enjoyed at area venues, the giant farm-sized dining table enabled us all to eat together and allowed space for us to scrapbook, do crafts with the kids, color, fire our our laptops on the Lakeshore Blue wireless connection, play cards - anything! There was even space in the long driveway/backyard for kids to ride bikes, chip golfballs, play frisbee, etc - and storage space in the garage for all of our clubs and bikes. Marc and Marilyn (who live right next door) were friendly, inviting and accomodating with excellent recommendations - all without being intrusive!
