This unique home is actually a duplex with two identical units. Rent one side to sleep 9; rent both sides to sleep 18. Perfect for family gatherings, reunions, and weddings. Each side has four bedrooms, a full kitchen, full bathroom, two-story family room, dining room, deck furniture, and grill. The home sits on an acre of land right on the water with 339 feet of lakefront. Loads of room for kids to run around in the yard or swim in the water while you watch them from the large, raised deck. It is quiet and peaceful with a creek running down one side of the property, and it backs up to the woods. Bring your own boat and tie it up to the dock, or you can rent one from the marina nearby.

Notes: The property is mostly level and may be suitable for someone using a wheelchair or someone with mobility impairments. However, the thresholds are not flush and the door to the bathroom is not extra wide, so there are some limitations. There is a bedroom and a bath on the first floor. For young children, we have a pack n play, high chair and booster seats on site. We also have a video library with many children's movies The beach is very suitable for children to swim. The water level drops off gradually so they will have to go out a ways to get over their heads. The beach consists of shale (small, smooth rocks), so water shoes are recommended for comfort and safety. The dock is about 60' long and will accommodate 1-2 boats. The water level at the end of the dock is typically 3-4' deep, depending on the lake level.

Vacation on the Lake

My family has returned to this property many times. We like the relaxed atmosphere. The lake front access is really great and we sit out drinking wine and talking on the deck every night that we can. The front yard is great for the kids to play and there is a fire pit for cooking the fish we catch over a wood-burning fire. The house seems fine. There are more bedrooms than we need...but its worth it for the lake access.

This summer home was an excellent place to stay as a multi-family gathering. There were plenty of bedrooms and the multiple kitchens made cooking and eating easy, The large deck was great for sitting and watching the kids play and the large front yard was a plus. Water access was nice - not too weedy. It was also nice to be able to bring our pet who really loved the water.

Disappointed

My siblings and I rented this property for a family reunion as it had the many bedrooms that we needed. Although the waterfront was lovely we were disappointed by the lack of cleanliness and that the only bathrooms were right off the main public spaces. My immediate family has rented houses all over the country and this was the most disappointing experience we've had. I also felt, based on previous rental experience that this was extremely overpriced. We would not go again and definitely would not recommend it.
