Sunset Beach Vacation Rental house

We chose to spend our vacation away from the tourist traps of Waikiki and rent a house in an area that was more the "real Hawaii." Buddy's home was the perfect refuge with large bedrooms, comfortable beds and spacious living areas in a small little neighborhood that was populated with friendly locals. The home's yards are beautifully landscaped and the gorgeous beach is just a few steps away up the street where you can see the world's most amazing sunsets and enjoy great bodyboarding and surfing. We drove all over the island and I can promise there is no nicer beach for a family than the one at Sunset.
One last comment, so often these homes are rented by owners who are not local and are hard to get hold of if there is a question or a problem. Because this home is located on the same street where Buddy, his brother and his mother live, anytime I had a question I just had to literally step outside into the front yard and look up or down the street. Also, the famous Ted's Bakery is just a 5 minute walk away. Imagine every morning having homemade sweet bread, danishes and delicious Chocolate Haupia pie. Yum! We will definitely be back!
