Hilltop Cottage on Lake Maxinkuckee
Welcome to the newest lake house on the East shore of Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana, home of Culver Academies. Newly constructed to accommodate families, friends and reunions in a warm, casual style, Hilltop Cottage has six bedrooms, three baths and plenty of room and amenities to enjoy your time away from home. The home is available to rent year around and is great for family reunions, “Big Chill” gatherings, Notre Dame Football Games, Culver Graduation and Alumni Weekends or Girls Weekend Away. Nice for two or three families to share.
The first floor is an expansive space designed for communal living that allows all guests to enjoy the scenic view of Lake Max. The floor includes two comfortable lounging areas, a dining area, full bath, private den and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. There is plenty of room for several cooks to prepare family favorites or gourmet meals. The counter bar with bar stools overlooks the kitchen so friends can keep the chefs company.
The great room has a wall of windows that opens out to a screened in porch, the perfect place to overlook the lake and sip wine while watching the sunset. Grillmeisters have the same view with their own grilling porch.
The second floor has six bedrooms, four with queen size beds and two with twin beds, and two full baths. Each room and hallway has a ceiling fan for personal comfort. Most bedrooms have a private sink. The second floor balcony is the best place to enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the serenity of the lake lapping on the shore
.The cottage has direct access to the lake. At the end of a 120 foot dock, you will find a 24x16 deck area over the water (suitable for tying up boats). There is a shore line deck with a picnic table.
A 20 foot Pontoon boat is available for rent with cottage.
