Tucked away on the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah and Jacksonville, is a tranquil retreat with old world charm and resort amenities. St. Simons Island Villa is a private condo nestled under century-old towering oaks draped in Spanish moss. Nature's serenity will welcome you. Wake up each morning to the sun rising over the lagoon. Enjoy your cup of coffee on one of three decks overlooking the lagoon and watch wildlife and a variety of birds. It's an attractive alternative to a St. Simons Island hotel. And if you must conduct business during your stay, you'll have wireless, high-speed internet.
It may be difficult to leave the comfortable furnishings and designer touches of this St. Simons Island condo. But there is much to explore on this laid-back island. Located in the prestigious Sea Palms Resort, you are a five minute walk away from the Clubhouse where you can play a championship 27-hole golf course or sun by the pool. Another pool awaits at the Tennis and Fitness Center, where you can play on three rubico clay courts, work out with state-of-art equipment, or rent a bike and ride to the village on the bike greenway.
There is much to explore on St. Simons Island with its romantic coastal marshes and sandy beaches. The marshes and the rivers that flow through them on their way to the sea teem with all sorts of fish, birds and animals. Just a few miles away from your villa are beautiful beaches to explore.
This laid-back, but savvy, oasis is a shopper's paradise with many fine art and antique galleries and interior design showplaces. History buffs will be intrigued with national historic landmarks that date back to the mid 1700s. Or explore nearby Jekyll Island or Brunswick for more shops and history.
Spanish explorers came to the area more than 400 years ago, seeking gold. Instead they found astonishing beauty, mild weather and a natural radiance. You will too.
We are retired innkeepers who value quality and detail and look forward to hosting discerning guests in our future retirement home in St. Simons.
We love the laid back feeling in the Sea Palms residential area. It provides immediate "walking access" to the resort's golfing, biking and swimming amenities; and, a short drive away is the tennis and gym facility. Biking and walking through the neighborhood's century old oak trees with hanging Spanish Moss makes it a very special place. So go and enjoy!
Sitting in the living room or decks overlooking the pond with waterfowl; Biking and walking in the tree-laden neighborhood, golfing and swimming a few steps away!
