The Bulfinch House is situated on the coastal road between Rockport and Annasquam Massachusetts. This traditional style home offers both the space for privacy as well as comfortable common space for preparing and sharing meals.

All bedrooms enjoy water views and have private baths, large closets, Cable TV and AC.

There are several outside spaces to enjoy including a covered porch, a blue stone dining patio and rose garden entrance.

Ample parking on premises.

The Bulfinch House is situated on the coastal road between Rockport and Annasquam Massachusetts and is the 'lands end' point of Cape Ann, just 35 miles north of Boston. There are several beaches for swimming and water sports, including sailing, kayaking and scuba. The ocean front state park at Halibut Point has extensive walking trails around the Babson Farm Quarry with views that stretch from Crane's beach in Ipswich to the Isles of Shoals and Mount Agamenticus in Maine. The picturesque village of Rockport has specialty shops, art galleries and eateries with views in all directions of the harbor and ocean beyond.

Notes: The Bulfinch House is most suitable for adults or families with children. For adults traveling together the activity options include hiking,biking,fishing,sailing,scuba,birding,antique and specialty shopping. Cape Ann has some of the oldest artist colonies and cooperatives in the country.There are several lighthouses off the coast of Rockport and Gloucester for scenic tours.Boston is just an hour away by train or car. New Hamshire and the coast of Maine and outlets are day trip options. There is great summer theater at the Gloucester Stage and the North Shore Music Theater. There is a fabulous Chamber Music Festival in June. Rockport is 'kid friendly'. There is an in town beach which is great for very young children. When the surf is up,the bigger beaches of Cape Hedge or Good Harbor are great for kids with boards. The Sandy Bay Yacht Club offers sailing lessons on a weekly basis and the Massachusetts Audubon offers day camp program nearby. For more info visit our website below.

Wonderful stay!

Thank you so much, Pat, for "loaning" us your house for the 5-day stay August 22-27, 2010. My family really enjoyed the place and the location, even though it did rain for most of the time. Who knew we would choose the ONE week when the rains would come! Thank goodness we had a house to spread out in!! It was nice to be able to relax on the porch overlooking the ocean after a day of sightseeing. Everything we needed was available and the place was well maintained. We especially loved having the beach pass and beach chairs for "chilling" on the sand.

Rockport and Gloucester are both fascinating sea-villages and I could have stayed much longer browsing through the stores and exploring the many parks/beaches along the shores. Thank you for leaving so many brochures and maps in the house for us to figure out where to go and what to do. The Hammond Castle one was a life-saver for one particular day - what a find that was!

We hope to get back into your area again - it has always been one of my favorite places to unwind along the New England shoreline. Thank you again!
