This traditional style cottage has been restored in recent years and is now a one bedroom cottage. The bedroom has a double bed (5 ft) with solid oak floor. The kitchen area has a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, high vaulted ceilings and roof light allowing the evening sun to light it up. Water comes from a natural well. There is a kitchen table that seats up to 4 for intimate meals and 2 Leather reclining seats with foot stools for watching TV or reading. Oil fired central heating for winter evenings and a wood burning stove in the kitchen area which is more than adequate to heat the whole place if you intend on staying in. Solar panels have been also been installed.Pumped shower with heated towel rail in the bathroom. It is located in a rural location in East Cork, about 8km from Midleton, 5 km from Watergrasshill and 6 km from Carrigtwohill. One small dog is allowed. Ideal for one to 2 people max. Location is rural and a car is necessary. WIFI .

Quiet cottage in Cork

We stayed a week in this quiet cottage, which is well fitted out for catering and washing. There are several interesting villages within 10km, therefore a car is essential. There is a good BBQ area at the back which we used a number of times. Overall it met very well our expectations of a relaxing week in the Irish countryside

Going back to our roots

We booked the cottage for a month in July . It felt like going back to our roots , while small , felt airy and was comfortable for both of us. The person that restored this cottage , returned it with a traditional feel but gave us all the comforts of home. The area is in the country and a car is essential. There were cows arcoss the road and chickens up at the back of the house where we even got some fresh eggs. We loved it there and if we were visiting the area again I would go back there

When we arrived we though we were in the wrong place , the cottage looked a bit neglected from the outside , but we followed the instructions the door was open for us and the inside was just lovely, just as it was described on the website . It was comfortable yet simple with all that was advertised. The location is rural and a car is essential. We had to drive into Midleton for groceries & supplies about 6 miles , but the feel otf the place was great & there were cows in the field across the road when we work in the morning .. We really enjoyed our break there and used it as a base to see both East Cork and West Cork , I really enjoyed the evenings sitting down outside in the patio area with a glass of wine just listening to the birds , there were two friendly dogs from nearby that used to call to see us if we were around.
A car is essential it is country area.

Description was accurate regarding location and amenities, the location is rural & great. We really enjoyed our stay there it was peacful and relaxing. We were visiting relations in the area and great to use as a base.
Property was spotless and well maintained, traditional in feel but comfortable. Eveything we need was there, even a dryer ( although there was a clothes line in the garden )
Definately would recommend it ,and we will be back again it was ideal for our week in East Cork .
