owners have created a paradise that they generously share with others
This home really has everything. Comfortable beds, modern technology, a DVD library, everything you'd need to cook in the kitchen including spices, and spacious. The property is currently re-finishing the basement into a rec room, which would give this place two living rooms. There's also a formal dining room, breakfast bar, and kitchen table. It is a great property for two families to share or a larger family, with two bedrooms and bathrooms. Both rooms have TVs and both bathrooms have showers and jetted tubs. The upstairs bedroom is decorated in what I can only call Angel Chic, "heavenly". The downstairs bedroom has a lodge-like feel. The pictures here do not do it justice.
Outside, a nice tiki bar, a good place to enjoy the sunset without the mosquitoes, an outdoor dining area with grill, and a hot tub. The hot tub looks over the well-cared-for garden and also into the woods. The views cannot be beat -a beautiful place to relax.
My only complaint - it was almost too well decorated. As the mother of a two year old, I had quite a task in locating all the breakable items and moving them to higher points. Usually rental homes have only a few things I need to relocate and remember the location of (so I can return them at the end). In this place, it was a long task because there were a lot of cute and possibly expensive tchotchkes about. I lived in fear of things getting broken all week. While of course I am prepared to take care of a property, clean it, and so forth - I would prefer to rent a more low-maintenance home to reduce my stress level. Therefore, I would say that this property is a better choice for families with older children and adults. I would rent this home again - but not until my son is older.
My spouse wished she had known that we had to take our trash in our cars to the trash compactor down the road at the clubhouse. This is because of the remote location, close to wild areas, where bears can be attracted to garbage.
Location-wise, it is close to N. Conway's amenities, but closer to the mountains and theme parks, avoiding N. Conway traffic. Not a walkable location - need a car. Great for Storyland, Mount Washington and Crawford Notch.
I also want to note the home was in very clean and good condition when we arrived. We were welcomed by the caretaker and given a tour. The owner is a pleasant person who helped with directions, and questions, and in resolving issues.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review. If we know that there is a young child arriving, we put away most of the in-reach breakable decorations. There are trash and recycle receptacles in the garage which may be used for 1 week or shorter stays. However, since there is no curbside trash removal in the area, longer-stay guests are expected to bring their trash to the dumpster and recycle bin located in the clubhouse parking lot about a mile away. Yes, the bears here are very friendly and steps need to be taken to keep them away from our trash.
