Big Chill Weekend!

  • 4 of 5
This is a wonderful house with a super homeowner. We are three couples from Arkansas and Louisiana that enjoyed the Fourth of July in the Berkshires. From wandering around Lenox, to the James Taylor concert at Tanglewood, this is the perfect place to get away from it all. We particularly enjoyed the front porch-- relaxing during happy hour and an impromptu dance party late night. I will be back at Village View!

A wonderful venue for a family get together.

  • 5 of 5
This was the perfect venue for our first annual family get together. Our party included our two married children and our grandchildren, ages 7 months and 22 months. There was more than enough room for everyone, wonderful outdoor space (porches and a lovely garden patio where the grilling took place) and comfortable bedrooms. We are enthusiastic cooks and eaters, and there were enough pots, pans, and utensils to cook for an army. The kitchen and dining room were exactly what we needed to all participate together. The house was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The location is especially noteworthy: an easy walk to the center of everything, yet quiet; on a lovely street with views of the Berkshires from the second floor. We look forward to going back.

A Perfect Ski House!

  • 5 of 5
We arrived after dark and the house was all lit up and waiting for us. About a foot of snow had just dropped and it looked beautiful. The walkway was all shoveled and prepped (thank you, Carol!). As the other reviews state....this is a lovely house with great linens and very comfy beds. We were there to ski so we didn't get to lounge around the house all day, bummer. There are 3 different sitting rooms so plenty of room for adults and kids. We had a great ski weekend!

Simply wonderful

  • 5 of 5
We had a great weekend at Village view. We had a fairly large crew, in town for my daughter's wedding. The house has everything you could want. Great appliances, lots of dishes and glasses, etc. the house has so much charm - you see a new item of interest or little charming touch everywhere you look. Beds were comfortable and sheets were great. The little alcove room (not pictured) was really convenient for the baby with us. We set up the pack n play in there and he could sleep undisturbed. We even had a couple use the sleep sofa in the den and they said it was very comfortable. Carol was very gracious and helpful. If the occasion arises, I would want to rent again. The house added so much to our wonderful weekend.

Lovely as could be!

  • 5 of 5
My mother, my sister, my teenaged daughter, two dear friends and one of their daughters all gathered here for a celebratory birthday week and we could not have been more comfortable or happier. The house is abundantly cared for: clean, spacious, generously and graciously outfitted, and convenient to town, great swimming and walking, and of course all of the cultural riches of the Berkshires. The garden, patio and porches were used with delight every day. The neighborhood is blissfully quiet. And the homeowner is exceptionally kind and thoughtful. We can't wait to spend another week here.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5
We chose Village View to celebrate a "big" birthday" with our children and grandson.
I had a wanted a warm and spacious home where we could all spread out comfortably, but would also be encouraged to gather. This home met those desires perfectly. Each of the bedrooms was amply sized and comfortable and the many sitting areas just said, "please sit down and socialize.". So we did. The living room was the main attraction with its lovely fireplace, books, great coffee table for game playing and very comfy seating. The house was a wonderful combination of elegance and easy living. It felt sophisticated for the adults, yet friendly for the two year old. We were six adults and one toddler.

Easy walking distance to the charms of Lenox. We walked to restaurants, took the two year old sledding in a local park and took a little outing to Pittsfield for lunch and retail browsing. Plenty to do.

Carol was a lovely and hospitable hostess.
