Visit our Salem Carousel, where all the horses are hand-crafted by the volunteers of Salem! Come ride the Carousel! Many historical sites nearby, gardens to stroll through. Walking distance to Museums and Chamber of Commerce. Come visit Salem, the 'Capitol of Oregon' and see all we have to offer!
Leasure Time: A great way to spend a day is to go wine tasting. We have lots of information of the local vineyards ! This is very fun to do. There is also Oregon Cheese farms that manufacture Cow and goat organic cheeses to taste! Take a self guided cover-bridge tour, visit the local antique shops or Check out the local Weds and Saturday outdoor markets. They are really fun and yummy!
So much to do and don't feel bad about just kicking back and relaxing either!
Couple Weekends: Do you have a friends in other states? Come and meet in the middle. Our huge country kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking and baking needs. Great meeting place for 2-3 couples can join together spend the weekend, making a great meal together, sample the different kinds of wines you have tried at the many vineyards you have visited, eat some organic cheese, build a fire in the fireplace, and enjoy your time together! It's a very inexpensive way to catch up on old times and have some time together.
Golf:
Salem has several beautiful golf courses open to the public located with in a few miles of our home! If you are up to a short drive, there are several dozen courses in the Willamette Valley and Salem,Portland,Eugene areas to choose from, easily reached within an hour. Dean is avid golfer and will be happy to advise you to the type of course your looking for! I am sure you will not be disappointed if you love to golf. From driving ranges to gorgeous courses.
