This beautiful home is located in South East Salem in the Central downtown area. Our home is completely remodeled, staying with the original architecture but updated. Beautifully furnished, comfortable firm beds and all the comforts of home are here and are ready for your stay! All you need is your food, and a tooth brush! There is a beautiful screened in porch in back with table and chairs, a bridge from the street on the side of the Carriage house entering the property. Beautiful hand made picket fences with arched entry gates. Deck overlooking the stream that runs through the entire grounds for sunbathing, reading, or a relaxing meal. Also a large court yard made with beautiful brick work. A wonderful garden of hydrangea's and fuchsia. Lots of squirrels to watch in the Walnut and Fig trees.

We are located in the State Capitol of Oregon. The home is located in the central downtown area. Close to shopping malls,beautiful parks and in the heart of wine country. There are numerous amounts of Wineries in every direction with our home in the middle. A great gathering point. There are many antique stores in the area as well as enough to keep a person busy every day of there visit. It's also a very relaxing home to just kick back and relax. We have a large amount of reading books of every kind.

Close to Bush Park, Downtown Waterfront Park on the Willamette River, where you can take River boat cruise. Visit our Salem Carousel, where all the horses are hand-crafted by the volunteers of Salem! Come ride them! Many historical sites nearby, gardens to stroll through. Walking distance to Museums and Chamber of Commerce. Come visit Salem, the 'Capitol of Oregon' and see all we have to offer!

Clean and cosy on the creek.

We spent a week here with our son and granddkids. The house had everything we needed. Great kitchen for cooking with a spacious dining room for family dinners. Inviting living room with a fireplace and good comfortable beds. It was lovely to sit by the creek and enjoy the beautiful gardens. The owners take great care of the home and yard. Would recommend this home for any stay. Its so much better to be in a home than in a hotel.

This charming old home has been meticously restored and is in spotless condition. It is in a quiet, leafy neighborhood
conveniently located near downtown Salem in the heart of the Williamette Valley wine country. Portland, Eugene, the coast and the Cascades are all an hour or less away.While there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, we particularly enjoyed eating at the patio table in the magnificent garden. You'll find all the amenities here--truely a first class property with with very friendly and helpful owners. We will always have fond memories of our stay & of our hosts Joanie & Dean. Not only do we highly recommend this vacation rental, we hope to be able to return in the near future. Marty & Lynn

My family and I stayed at this fantastic home in July for five days. We were attending a wedding in Silverton and decided on a home rental for the six of us instead of two generic hotel rooms at $160 each. We've had great experiences with VRBO rentals over the last few years, and this one was no exception.

The house has lots of character, is in a very convenient location, and the front and back yard are fantastic. We had breakfast in the beautifully landscaped back yard every morning. Having A/C came in handy - every day was around 95 degrees!

Lovely Old Home

We stayed in Salem, Oregon at this lovely old home in a quiet neighborhood. The house has been lovingly restored and furnished with a mixture of beautiful antiques and modern pieces. The owners met us there to hand over the keys and give us a short tour. The house sits beside Mill Creek which makes a beautiful backdrop to the well landscaped back yard. We used the barbecue one evening and sat outside to eat our meal on one of the decks. We were happy to be close to the downtown markets and other shopping. The arts festival was a few blocks away. This was a wonderful getaway for us. We recommend this house to anyone interested in a unique stay in Salem.
