Hi We are Joanie and Dean. We are the owners and managers of the WaterHouse. We both fell in love with our WaterHouse the first time we stepped in the front door! We felt so relaxed and comfortable. We hope you get the same feeling the first time you come in, you will want to come back again and again as we do!
Joanie and Dean purchased this cottage in 2006
We chose to buy a vacation house in the City. It's only about 5 miles from where we live! We are both retired, and keep busy with our small seasonal plant nursery. Here we grow our flowers and plants for the WaterHouse. We also keep a few horses for the grandchildren at our house/nursery/farm! So you see, getting too far away takes a lot of work! We find it nice to drive to town, spend the night or two, hang out and relax, but close enough to drive home and care of the animals and come back!
By the second day our little grandson was feeling right at home and especially loved the books and cabinet doors in the kitchen. We all felt comfortable whether gathering in the living room, preparing meals in the kitchen or eating them in the dining room. The house was very clean (a real plus) and well-equipped. We enjoyed the views of the garden from the inside and hope to be there again sometime to fully enjoy your beautiful landscaping. Thank you for providing such a nice home away from home.
We are located in the State Capitol of Oregon. Our home is located in the central downtown area. Close to shopping malls, beautiful parks and in the heart of wine country. There are numerous amounts of Wineries in every direction with our home in the middle. A great gathering point. There are many antique stores in the area as well as enough to keep a person busy every day of there visit. It's also a very relaxing home to just kick back and relax. We have a large amount of reading books of every kind.
Other Activities: Self guided winery tours and covered bridge tours
