Total renovation in 2007: In 2007, we converted this seasonal lake home to a fabulous year round property. The kitchen is 100% new, with all new kitchen cabinets and counters. All new appliances, including an over and under washer dryer. Throughout the house - all new floors. Wall-to-wall carpet. Great wood accents throughout, especially in the spacious living room. 200 amp electric service brought in and 100% rewire of house, including new baseboard electric heat. Entire home painted and new ceilings in the Kitchen and Living room. Sit in the Sun room and enjoy fantastic views. Block patio with outdoor gas grill . Enjoy the large wood deck on the break wall at the water's edge, relax as you hear the rhythm of the water.

Amusement Parks.: Six Flags, Darien Lake Amusement and Water Park is 45 minutes away. Or Sea Breeze park in Webster NY.

Fire Pit: Fire Pit provided. Since we can not predict guests demand for fire wood we say that fire wood is the guest's responsibility but we do try to keep the pile stocked !

Ski:

Several cross country and downhill ski areas within 60 minutes.

Beautiful spot!

If you like to relax by the water and "veg", this is the place! The deck and water were breathtaking. Sat there for hours! Even slept outside one night. The fire pit at night was the bomb! Very quiet and friendly neighborhood. Everybody was our friend. You have to wave to everybody when you drive down the road. The owner could not have been nicer or more accomodating. Our 1st time to the Rochester area and Len made sure we knew where we were going and the best way to get there. I would absolutley go back again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

We LOVED this house!

My husband and I stayed her last August for a week and we had the most relaxing vacation ever. We picked this area so that we could drive to Niagara Falls but the best part of the week was just sitting on the screened-in porch relaxing. The house is adorable and very well kept. Everything we could possibly need was provided by the owners, Len and Mara. It rained for several days while we were there but that just made me relax even more and I read two books off of the very full bookcase. When the rain ended we had the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen and I took about 100 pictures! The lake is absolutely gorgeous. The wireless Internet worked flawlessly but all I did was watch Netflix at night, no work! My husband tried to fish off of the deck but never caught anything so I think if you really want to fish you need to rent a boat or go out on a charter. We brought our dog and he had a ball playing on the rocks below the deck and getting in a good run a few times a day. I can't really comment on any neighbors because we hardly saw anybody during our stay. We also took a ride to see some of the towns around us and to get food and supplies. There's not a lot of excitement so if that's what you are looking for this area is not for you. If you want to see the Falls, relax in a beautiful setting, then this is perfect. Thanks again Len and Mara for having us, I hope we make it back up that way again because I would definitely stay in that house again.

Finger Lakes - Letchworth Park

Out stay at your lovely cottage has been great. The weather has been better than expected. We have been on the go all week. We have seen a lot of the Finger Lakes region and particulary enjoyed Letchworth park. The cottage has felt just like home. Many thanks.

Kayaking

We had a wonderful time ! Some days we went non-stop and some days we spent on the lake in our 'blow up' Kayaks. Kids had fun, dog had fun and we relxed. Something we needed. Loved the house, deck and fire pit. Took advantage of all this "little" house had to offer. Hope to be back someday !

Relax and Fish

What a wonderful break from the Texas heat ! Lovely views, great serentity. There are huge Lake Trout right out front of the deck. However, my small travel rod was about 10 yds short in the cast. That's why they call it fishing I guess. All in all we had a very relaxing time and had family over several times for reminiscing and hours of tearfilled laughter. We won't forget this vacation and hope to return for another pleasant stay. Thanks so much.
