Vacation house was lovely although weather didn't cooperate. Lake view and deck beautiful. Not all amenities listed in this advertisment were available, CD ,Radio, Internet access, Boat launch,(had to pay for marina) Beach Towels, Bunk Beds, Hammock, Laundry soap 1/4 full, no firewood upon arrival. Was looking forward to fire first night but there was no wood, was told I could buy it around?? Prior tenants used it all up?? That kinda sucked, but was refunded $30 spent on wood. Len and Mara we're nice, seemed a bit flustered. House was clean but they seriously need to prepare house better for new arrivals with all amenities (futon was broken) listed as well as better maintenance with septic system (filled twice-rain, rain). Could use more garbage cans and sauce pans, and all the screen doors fell off if opened, no boat launch!!!. Felt stores were a bit far, but walmart & Wegmans were priced well. May rent again if boat launch was installed, screen doors repaired and amenities updated.

Owner's Response: As owners of three water front properties who take pride in providing wonderful properties at good value. We were very disappointed in this review. From our perspective, some of the comments are just not valid. The bottom line is this, we responded to all guest concerns in a timely manner, reimbursing for 'missing' items and even giving the guest financial reimbursement for their 'dashed' expectations. Again, in being focused on providing wonderful water front properties and to try to be clear on setting expectations we have done three things. 1) reviewed the listing for accuracy and wording in an attempt to help with guest expectations 2) contracted to have a French drain installed around the septic leech field to shield it from significant rain events like we had in July. In July our average rainfall is 2.46 inches, this year we received over double that -- 4.95 inches 3) have created an inventory of the amentities so we are aware when a spoon or one of the pans 'disappear' from the property. This was a good suggestion from this guest who has seen this practice at other rentals. Thanks Lenny and Mara
