Great Place for 2 Families traveling together

We took a mid February trip here with another family of 4 and had a fabulous time. The very clean and well appointed townhouse is spacious and in a good location. The kitchen is well stocked, an it was great having a garage to use as an "assembly" room in the mornings before skiing. We stored our boots in the water heater closet and they were always nice & toasty. The folding chairs in the closet were a huge help in getting boots on and off. It is a short walk across 2 driveway areas (each with a short flight of stairs at the end) to get to the slopes. It can be a little tedious, but it is so worth it! The skiing back in is easy, if you can find the right place to get off the mountain, but if not it is no big deal because the free shuttle will pick you up at the base of Bachelor Gulch and take you right back to your door. We had a car, so we didn't use the shuttle a ton, but I think that you could easily get by without a car and just take the shuttle around. Matt, the owner, was very responsive to all of my e-mails and very easy to work with. We enjoyed having access to the pool and hot tubs at the Ritz, and had a great day over at the spa at the Hyatt Regency in Beaver Creek. The kitchen was so nice we stayed in most nights and cooked. There is a Costco near the Eagle Vail airport and good grocery stores in both Avon and Edwards. We ate out at lunch, and enjoyed the ski lodge/restaurant at the base of Arrowhead. Blue Moose Pizza is also very good with at least 2 locations in the area. We had a fun night in Vail where we took the Gondola up at LionsHead and went tubing, then ate at Blue Moose Pizza at the base. Great Trip! Thank you, Matt, for renting out your lovely home!
