Take a break from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life with a relaxing stay our newly renovated country farmhouse located in the beautiful rolling hills of the northern Catskills. We're only about a 3 1/2 hour drive from New York City, but are truly a world away! Wander the farm, explore the area or just relax with a good book - the choice is up to you! The house has three bedrooms, 1 full bath and 1 half bath and a fully equipped kitchen featuring both a modern gas stove and a 1926 Glenwood cook stove. A washer & dryer is available for your use. At mealtime, there's a dining room with room for the whole crowd or a cozy table tucked next to the wood stove in the kitchen. On those warm sunny mornings, enjoy your coffee or tea on the enclosed front porch. The living room has a plush and comfy sofa & love seat and a TV with a VCR and DVD player to watch a good movie. This is a house where you can put up your feet and just relax!

Location: Catskills < New York < USA

The farmhouse is located within an hour's drive of Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Farmer's Museum and the Baseball 'Dream Parks'. The excellent hiking trails of Windham, Hunter and Tannersville are about a 45 minute drive. In the winter, numerous ski areas are within a 45 minute drive (Hunter, Windham) and Plattekill Ski Area (1/2 hr.) Golf courses can be found in both Stamford (10 min.) and Delhi (20 min.). In the summer, there are music events at the West Kortright Center and at the Hunter Ski Area. Country fairs of all types abound during the summer, from the Dairy Fest to the Delaware County Fair in Walton and the 'Sunshine' Fair in Cobleskill in August. We are located within walking distance of the 'book village' - Hobart - right up the Catskill Scenic Trail.

The 19-mile Catskill Scenic Trail is right in your backyard - great for walkers, runners, mountain bikes, cross-country skiers and snowmobilers. For road cyclists, you'll love both the rolling valley rides and the challenging hills of Delaware County. There are also a number of bookstores within a short drive for something different to do on rainy days. And for those nights when you just don't feel like cooking, there are several very good restaurants not far away. Easy to reach, yet truly in the country you'll be welcome to wander the farm and enjoy fresh eggs from friendly free-range chickens. There's even a welcoming (outdoor) cat named Georgie just waiting for your visit to our little farmhouse! You'll leave feeling like a member of the family.

It was wonderful to stay this farmhouse. We enjoyed
very much and we love the wood burning oven! The
house built in mid 19th century is cozy and beautifully
renovated. Mr. Jensen gave us tour at chicken farm
and it was very interesting and kind. This is the best
place to have quiet retreat.

Spent the most wonderful Valentine weekend here. Beautiful location, exceptionally kept home with no comforts or details lacking. Fast and friendly correspondance from

We were impressed with this cabin. This home is warm, pleasant, cozy, functional, and very pretty. It was spotless when we arrived. There is a small but nice "library" of games, movies, and also some toys for younger kids; the selection was of high enough quality that we used some of the items even though we'd brought our own movies and games. There's a great hill for sledding in back. The farm itself is a little small and not as "explorable" as we were thinking but the cat and chickens are entertaining nonetheless. Interacting with the owners next door was very pleasant.

You can't get better than this. If you want to relax and enjoy some times gone by, this is the place to stay. My husband and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary and this was such a perfect place to get away. We found the house cleaner than clean with all the conveniences of home. It was so much fun cooking on the old 1926 cooking stove and it made the house so cozy. It really is a beautiful location amid the catskills. Everyone in the family was so kind and helpful and made our trip very relaxing. We enjoyed walking into town on the rail trail, loved the farm, visited with Lucky the rooster and his hens and also Georgie, the cat who was very friendly.
From watching the sunset on the hill across the street to gazing at the stars on the hill behind the house it really was breathtaking and a place everyone should come visit.
