SUMMERPORT BEACH LAKE HOUSE

This was how a neighbour described the Lake Butler location to me and he was spot on. Spectacular sunrises over the Lake, fishing off the jetty, a little canoeing to see the nesting Ospreys and a morning coffee or evening glass of wine on the veranda. In between trips to the theme parks (an easy 20 minute drive to Disney) or to Mount Dora for a more leisurely afternoon. We cooked for ourselves some of the time and the local Publix supermarket is well stocked and only 5 minutes away. It was wonderful to return after a full day to the haven of Summerport Beach Lake House. I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect getaway, with all the comforts needed while you're away and that extra character and this is it. Simply stunning, inside and out. Jennifer & Jim provided a clear map to reach the house (don't forget to take coins for any unmanned toll booths) and they were only a phone call away if we needed anything. There was so much we could have done that we couldn't possibly fit it all in, so we hope to be back in a couple of years. Would we recommend Summerport Beach Lake House to a friend? Absolutely! We have already; several times. Thank you once again, Jennifer and Jim, for the perfect holiday!

The home, property, amenities, and surrounding area were all exactly what we hoped for and more. A professionally renovated, older home with all the necessaties for a relaxing and stress-free stay. Very convenient location and easy to find. Lake Butler and the interconnected chain of surrounding lakes provided some of the best fresh water boating I've experienced in the state of Florida.

The property owners were extremely easy to work with and accomodated our somewhat unique requests. I can't thank them enough for a great weekend and we look forward to staying at the property again in the near future!

My husband and I cannot say enough about this beautiful Lake House. The pictures cannot compare to the real thing. The views are breathtaking and the home is so cozy and inviting, we fell in love with it the minute we walked in the door. Our grandchildren live close by and spent a lot of time with us, they loved fishing off the dock. Waking up in the morning and looking out over the 2nd floor balcony at Lake Butler was unbelievable. We spent a lot of time on the porch rocking in the rocking chairs or sitting on the adirondack chairs. Everything was perfect and Jim and Jennifer couldn't have been nicer. It is close to all the attractions which is great. But for us older folk just relaxing in this lovely home was a highlight for us. Jim and Jennifer have paid close attention to detail and every room is done beautifully and is inviting. We loved it so much we call it "our" Lake House and will be spending 6 weeks there in 2010. It is PERFECT in every way.
