There are hiking and cycle paths for all abilities, the Eiger trail or a gentle stroll along the Lauterbrunnen valley, via Gimmelwald and Stechelberg.Or take bikes up to Murren and cycle back down to Lauterbrunnen. The same breath-taking views as the ski run in winter. Local folklore festivals, yodelling, flag throwing and dancing displays take place in the summer months. Food is an important part of staying in the mountains. Excellent local produce such as cheese, hams and bread are all available locally so picnics and BBQ become a real treat.
The lakes and Interlaken are only 8 miles away. With several lidos and beaches around the lake, as well as the pool in the village there are plenty of opportunities for swimming, watersports and boat rides.
