Zen del Mar was a magical vacation. Located on the ocean, with walking access to the lovely Akumal, a village that is safe, welcoming, with cafes, boutiques and surf shops. The house itself sleeps 14, has 5 bedrooms and is designed beautifully with amazing water views and an array of unique items made by local craftsmen partnered with unusual and interesting fabrics. The effect is stunning. The staff is warm and friendly. The food delicious. The massages were top of the line. Activities such as snorkeling, scuba, swimming with whale sharks and visiting local temples were easy to arrange. We were fully engaged the whole week. To top it all off, the owners live nearby and were able to give us the inside tips on where to go and what to do. We loved every minute of it.
