About Ross Martineau
Ross and Jeff are transplants from San Francisco. We had the pleasure of staying in these cottages while on vacation and immediately fell in love with them. We are still pinching ourselves that we are now the owners of this charming and unique property. 17 Palms Kauai really is an oasis on an oasis - lush, private and only steps from the beach.
Jeff is a Bay Area native - a former CFO with a background in business management. Ross is originally from New Hampshire. His background is in theatre and fine art, having worked 9 years at the prestigious John Pence Gallery in San Francisco. Ross is now a licensed realtor with Sleeping Giant Sotheby's International Realty. This is our first mid-life crisis - we skipped the red sports car and moved directly to the tropical island.
Welcome to paradise!

Why Ross Martineau chose Wailua
This is an extraordinarily central location and so close to so many nearby amenities and activities, but yet just far enough off of the beaten path to make it a true, hidden gem. Adjacent to the east shore multi-use path also means easy walking and cycling to many nearby places, not necessarily common for other properties which sets 17 Palms Kauai apart.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Cool, comfortable, well-equipped cottage. Hip decor, quality furnishings (awesome bed), lots of thoughtful extras. Location was super convenient if you want to explore the whole island as we did. We took a heli flight from Lihue airport; hiked trails from the Kalalau Look out and along the Napali Coast; swam near Kekaha, Hanalei Bay, and Kapaa; kayaked along the northeast coast, and ate EVERYwhere. Shopping and eating within walking distance. The ocean is an easy two-minute walk out the cottage gate. Two close beach spots: waves were a bit raucous in one (we still swam) and a sweet sheltered baby beach that would be awesome for kids and cautious adults (we swam there too). Cottage owners were helpful and hospitable. Thanks!
