4 private bedrooms, sleeps 8, 2.5 baths, all on ground level for easy access.

Hear the historic Point Judith Light fog horn in the distance. Smell the salt air as you hear the surf pound the beach!

This 4 bedroom L shaped executive ranch is within a pleasant 10 minute walking distance to Scarborough Beach! Family room with open access to Kitchen presents great area to gather as you prepare your meal using ingredients freshly picked from the back yard herb garden. Nice clean hardwoods throughout, including a pleasant dining room, living room, and bedrooms that are conveniently on the same level, yet offset from the living area for those who may want to retire early. Also, a nicely landscaped yard with small private deck is available for your relaxation.

Fully furnished kitchen comes complete with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven/stove, disposal, and microwave. Fully stocked with utensils, dish ware, pots and pans, including a lobster pot!

An outside gas grille is also provided, along with cooking utensils for that special summer barbecue or steam.

Living room comes complete with digital cable TV, DVD, and Game Cube.

Master bedroom has king bed, digital cable TV, DVD, VHS, closet, and private bath with skylight window.

Three other bedrooms: one queen, one full size, and one with two comfortable twin beds (for the URI Winter Rental we convert these twin beds to a single full size bed).

Convenient washer and dryer at no extra cost.

And we offer optional AC in Living Room and Master BR in case you need it. The large units effectively cool the entire house if you catch a muggy day where the ocean breezes are not stirring through the large Anderson casement windows.

We have a nice COLD outside shower for convenient rinsing off of the beach sand, and a great relaxation area in the attached two car garage. There you can play foosball, darts, mini ping pong, or just relax if there is a passing rainshower.

The grounds are all manicured for your pleasure with a large side yard that can accommodate a game of frisbee, wiffle ball, volley ball, bocce, bag toss, or whatever you may come up with. It's also a convenient area if you are hosting a family reunion in the area. We can make a 10 X 10 Canopied Tent available to you for a moderate rental fee.

We have a nice patio table and chairs, with patio umbrella if you want to eat outside, or just relax at smaller tables on the small backyard deck, or flagstone patio by the entrance.

Point Judith Light Just Down Route 108: Pt. Judith Light and Coast Guard Station sit on the western entrance to Narragansett Bay. The original wooden tower was built in 1810, but was blown over during a storm six years later. A replacement stone tower lasted until 1857, when the current octagonal tower was erected. The upper part of the tower is painted dark brown.

The light is easily reached on Rt. 108, just past the turn-off to Galilee and the Block Island ferry. Turn right after Iggy's.

Newport Just Over The Newport Bridge: A fantastic day trip into the gilded age. Visit historic mansions such as Rosecliff or Marble House. Drive by the farm where the Kennedy's married. Fly a kite by the ocean at Bretton Point. Or just enjoy a restaurant and stroll along the waterfront. International Tennis Hall of Fame: Visit and see the history including the famous grass courts.

Golfing Venues: Rhode Island has some of the best golfing available in New England. Local courses that the avid golfer will enjoy include Newport National in Portsmouth, just on the other side of Newport, North Kingston Municipal, a great track that borders an Air National Guard site and the Bay, Winnapaug in Westerly is a nice Ross design, and Laurel Lane is a very playable course set in the countryside. Many more courses to choose from including Meadowbrook and Beaver River. Plenty of nine holers too!

Ann and Mike plan on spending their summers here someday but for now they have to pay for it while sending the kids to college! What makes this house unique

Neighborhood has no outlet meaning traffic is light and good for biking and running.

One street over has a well trimmed path that connects Greene Lane to Angell Road, which gets you to the beach in a pleasant 10 minute walk.

We love hearing the waves at night or in the morning when all is calm and fresh. You will too!

Nearby Wakefield has ice cream from Brickley's that you will just love. Also in Wakefield is Mew's Tavern for a fun night out that will please child, young adult, and adult alike. Write your name on the tree right inside the restaurant, or sample one of their huge selection of microbrews.

About a ten minute car ride from the house you will find go-carts, mini golf, and a kiddie water ride.

About 20 minutes away, enjoy a water ride and amusements at Misquamicut amusements.

The area has rental options for biking, canoeing, and kayaking to name a few.

40 mins to Mystic Seaport/Aquarium, Casinos, and the world famous Roger Williams Zoo.

For golf you need to know a member to get on the private Point Judith Country Club, Wannumetonomy, or Newport Country Club courses but there are plenty of great public tracks in the area including Weekapaug, Laurel Lane, newly renovated Meadowbrook, world class Newport National and North Kingston Municipal (Quonset) where you can often see National Guard planes on the nearby tarmac. Other great golf options include Beaver River, Richmond Country Club, Exeter Country Club, Jamestown Country Club, and 9 hole Rolling Green.

Ceiling or portable fans provided throughout the house. When the ocean breezes are resting, you may add OPTIONAL high capacity A/C in Living Room and Master Bed for only $35 each, per week. Decide only when you arrive and utilize only if you find you need one or both. Cools entire house. Living and family rooms are divided and provide moderate privacy for those 'extra' boarders. Living room has large digital cable TV with DVD and VHS players, along with a Nintendo Game Cube system. Exceptionally clean. Great lay-out with bedrooms being on one side of the house (put the little ones down early and entertain without waking them!). Centrally located to all area attractions. Only rental house I've ever stayed at that has a king-sized bed and you can't beat all the bathrooms! Have stayed there two summers in a row and will return again.

This was our third visit to this property. After our first stay, we were so impressed that we would not even think of staying elsewhere. This house was spacious, spotless,comfortable and indeed, "homey". Everything we needed ( and didn't even know we needed) was there for our use. The location was perfect. The neighborhood is more like a suburban area than a tourist destination. The yard is beautifully kept, with plenty of space for a cookout or just to enjoy the outdoors in vacation mode. The beach was an easy walk away. Gift shops, convenience and grocery stores, churches and restaurants were plentiful and within very short drives. There were even many items in the house to use for those days when the beach wasn't the best option. The owners are professional, friendly and easily accessible by phone. If you are looking for the perfect vacation home, this is definitely the place for you.

Great house, great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had 5 adults and a 10-yr old, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Location is very convenient to the beach, as well as to the lighthouse and shopping center. Mike and Ann were very helpful and hospitable.

Great home for a perfect beach vacation

Our family has been renting summer beach houses for about 20 years now and this home has been the best by far. First of all, the owners (Mike & Ann) are great people, having pride for their home and taking an interest in our needs, which was very much appreciated.

The home is in a great neighborhood, and very quiet for a great night's sleep. The single floor ranch with no steps really helped out my father in law so he didn't have to climb any stairs or worry about climbing into the shower since there are no obstacles. The home is decorated nicely, with everything perfectly in place - an abundance of towels, washer and dryer perfectly placed in the middle of the home (again no stairs to climb while carrying the laundry), and fans in every room! The 3 bathrooms offering privacy for each member of our family (1 in the master bedroom, one off of the kitchen and another near the hallway). 2 bathrooms have skylights!

The yard is a bonus since the backyard is fenced in nicely; so the little ones were contained while we grilled outside! After grilling, we sat down outside on the patio set and enjoyed dinner; if the little ones were done, they could play in the fenced in area without any worries. The grill also has an extra (external) burner that we used to steam clams and lobsters, so it worked out great. Mike & Ann have some raised gardens in the backyard, where we used the fresh herbs to cook; it was a great bonus. The backyard is lined with HUGE bushes (easily over 15 feet tall) that blocks the views of the neighbor to the rear, giving us privacy that we enjoyed.

The kitchen has new appliances, including a dishwasher. What was nice about the kitchen was the size and the layout. It was large enough to have several "chefs" in the kitchen and not cramped at all. Everything you need for dishes, pots, pans, etc is there. We even found a large pot to steam our seafood.

The large 2 car garage also has many extras... a foosball table setup, a ping pong table, kites, toys, beach items, etc. Mike & Ann also have a ton of board games and toys in the living room in case you encounter a rainy day. There is also a nice external shower to wash off after the beach.

The living room and the home in general is very "homey," as we felt very comfortable there. The home was very neat and clean and so comfortable that we didn't want to leave... so much that we booked 2 weeks next year. Feel free to contact us personally.
