My husband and I had an amazing time at Fairhaven! We needed a short getaway and couldn't have chosen better. The location is amazing - extremely quiet and peaceful. The cabin is stocked with all the necessities and then some! It was the perfect place to relax and reconnect.Thank you so much for opening your cabin to us. We will certainly be back in the future.

My husband & I took a short trip to unwind. This property is well kept, and it is a great place to explore or relax. There are lots of activities close by, but we chose to do absolutely nothing. Fairhaven Cabin is very welcoming, clean, and a great find. There are (quiet) neighbors on both sides of the cabin, and the trees surrounding the property make it secluded. Lots of amenities & extras in case you forgot anything. The guestbook has many entries with the same sentiment; the Auffrey's guests appreciate their dedication & TLC to Fairhaven Cabin. They have guests who have returned for visits, which is a huge testimony. I was also impressed that this dog friendly place didn't have signs or scents of furry friends. We took our German Shepherd on her first trip, and it was a great experience. We had beautiful weather, and the night sky was mesmerizing. The hot tub was well maintained and a bonus of Fairhaven. The pictures give you a glimpse of this cabin. I would stay here again and recommend it to family & friends. Thank you Sheila for a great place to stay!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Fairhaven Cabin. Before we ever arrived, I had the most pleasant conversations with the owner and our stay at the cabin coninued the wonderful experience. The property was cozier than the pictures depicted, but it was just the right size for me, my husband and our 2-year old twin girls. The cabin was very clean, well-maintained and full of great unique, personal art and various knicknacks that made you feel right at home. My husband had his TV to watch the football games; my girls had another TV to watch one of the many children's movies kept at the cabin; and I had the great deck to relax and read a book while I sipped my iced coffee. The cabin wes deeply nestled in the mountains so it was extremely private however, we were only a 5 - 10 minute ride from Downtown Blue Ridge. We enjoyed the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway train ride, the Drive-In movie theater, and Mercier Orchards. In short, we had a great "mini" vacation. If you are looking for a rustic retreat in the mountains, I highly recommend you stay at the Fairhaven Cabin.

Great Cabin and Location

My wife and I stayed three nights. If you have to be COLD to sleep, be warned, the window A/C unit can barely keep up with the heat. We opened windows and used fans to pull cool air in and slept fine. Also, bring bottled water to drink. The tap water reeks of sulphur. IT IS STRONG!
We did have a good stay. Saw deer running from dogs one morning. Fun watching the squirrels do their morning thing. Back deck fireplace was relaxing. Firewood was provided which made things easier. Loved how well the kitchen was stocked. Didn't need anything but was good knowing most anything you might have forgot was available.

Owner's Response: Glad you had a great stay. Hope that you two will return.
