Awesome Cabin, located in beautiful Ellijay, Georgia, a scenic 90 minute drive from the Atlanta area. This cabin has fabulous river views of rushing 200+ foot Coosawattee River from every bedroom. Luxury accommodations include two master suites with plush king beds and private decks. The two first floor bedrooms are kings and connect directly to the game room (Foosball, T.V. and ping pong table and extra comfy futon) and shared full bath. TV's in all bedrooms plus big screen in living room. The 6 Person Hot Tub sits within 50 feet of the river. Upstairs in the loft are two twins and a Queen bed. At night, pop in a DVD, watch movies or enjoy the over sized indoor wood burning fireplace (wood provided) or relax outdoors by the wood burning pit beside the rushing river. There are amenities galore including three outdoor pools, tennis courts, weight room, indoor pool, and 24/7 gated security. Relax, rest and unwind in this private bit of paradise!!!

Weekend with the Family

My family which consist of 6 adults and 3 children enjoyed this cabin very much, it was very roomy and the view of the river was beautiful. We all had our separate space but the living and kitchen area had plenty of room for all of us. We really enjoyed the fire pit next to the river. We drove over to Carters Lake for some fishing. We also drove up to Blue Ridge to ride the Scenic Railway. The only problem we had was the a/c didn't cool the cabin very well, the owner was notified, but all in all it was a great vacation getaway, and we would definitely go again.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

I loved staying at this cabin with a group of friends for a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. The cabin was spacious and with the fuse ball table and lovely porch over looking the river, and a table outside that we utilized for cards, we were quite content for our whole stay. I would definitely recommend the cabin. The owner is very nice and responsive.

Relaxing family time

My family which consist of 9 adults and 5 children enjoyed this cabin very much, it was very roomy and the view of the river was beautiful, the kitchen was large enough for all of us to eat at the same time, which can be quite a task. The outdoor firepit by the river was especially fun, we made smores and sang by the campfire which the kids really enjoyed. The neighborhood was very nice and we took the kids to the outdoor pool a couple times, which was a lot of fun. The only problem we had was some bugs in the house, which was noted and been taken care of now and the pool table needed some work on it.(a little wobbly) but all in all it was a great vacation getaway, and we would definitly go again.

Fireflies, ducks, deer, turkeys

Just got back from spending a week at the River Edge Retreat cabin. Our family of 4, which includes kids ages 11 & 14, had a great time. The game tables provided alot of fun for us. My son especially enjoyed fishing in the river in front of the house. One afternoon was spent tubing down the river. We drove to Carter's Lake and spent some time there. . . . beautiful lake. Rode to Blue Ridge and hopped aboard the Blue Ridge Scenic Railray for a train ride to McCayesville, GA and Coppertown, TN. Fireflies at night!!!! what a treat! Everything we could have needed was provided in the cabin. Steep drive going to the cabin but we were in our truck so it was not a problem. Some of the pots and pans provided in the kitchen have seen better days. Other than that a great, great, place to spend a restful vacation which is just what we wanted.

Fall Road Trip 2011

This house was wonderful! The location was awesome! The river right out the back door! It was wonderful to be able to sit out and enjoy the sounds and beauty of the area. The beds were very comfortable; the bedding was one of the reasons that we picked this home. The fire pit was great! The little extras that the owner provided were great to have. The kitchen is very small for a large group. There were 8 of us and then we had guest over Friday for dinner, which made it very crowded. The hot tub was working but the water had a very strong odor of mold! We could not stay in it because of that. Overall this is a great place for family and small groups. The owner is great to work with and was very helpful in answering all of our questions. We had a great time and enjoyed the home. I do recommend that you have a truck due to the narrow unpaved roads to get there.
