Great stay en la Playa Del Carmen

After reading the comments of lots of apartments and condos of Playa Del Carmen, the condo La Gaviotas looked like a good choice and we were not disappointed. We contacted the owner Victor for more details before making our decision and Victor gave us the facts exactly as they were.

We lived there 4 weeks of November 2008. The condo has all the accessories moderns with washer and dryer and Victor left us with el ordi with access internet and Skype at no extra cost.

Situated very close of the market Chedraui, the fresh products, the wine and drinks are available every day including Sunday.

At 10 minutes walking distance of the beach and the 5e street, for those who enjoy walking, the condo is a perfect joice. But if you don’t want to walk, the taxis are available all day for only $2.00 Cd or Us. I love to walk but the last few months I had problem with pinched nerves on my lower back. I could not enjoy the visits of the area too much. But during 3 weeks I took the cab every morning to go to the Academy Columbus only 2 minutes away taking courses in advanced Spanish. I loved every bit of it and very practical.

I give Victor 5 on 5 stars for the condo.

Great holiday!

We loved our stay at your condo. The place was very clean and very nice, very comfortable and well equipped. It close to supermarket and restaurants. It's about 15 minutes of walking from the beaches.
Had a wonderful time and will stay here again when planning our next trip to Playa!

From the moment we arrived to the very sad day we left, this condo provided all the amenities one would need for a stress free vacation. The unit was as promised by the owners and as represented in the photos. We felt safe walking to and from the beach everyday, sometimes twice a day, as well as to the grocery store where we were able to find almost anything to eat and/or drink.
We would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to truly relax on their vacation.

Condo in Playa del Carmen

If you are looking for a place with kitchen facilities, close to a great grocery store, air conditioning, washer/dryer, very clean, 1/2 block from main road that will take you to the beach and 5th Avenue, and located in an area surrounded by Playa locals, then this is great! This was the experience we were looking for and it worked out well. My granddaughter and I felt very safe, even to walk around at night and being that the condo was located in zone 1 it was only 20 pecos one way, versus anytime you travel to or from Playacar it is 50! (appprox $5) one way. The restaurants price out the same as in the states and so does everything else, the dollar is just not a good deal any more and that is why the kitchen came in handy for breakfast, drinks and snacks, also great restaurants on 5th Avenue, even a "healthy food" restaurant that had a great menu and food. I highly recommend Playa del Carmen and if you are not looking for all the crowds at the big resorts, then I would recommend the condo. There was a problem with the pool when we arrived so never used, instead preferred the beach, but the pool was back to working order the day before we left. The condo also had a computer and internet so communicating back home was no problem.

Felt like home.

We were very pleased with the condo. This unit had all the amenities including a kitchenette, separate bedroom, two washrooms, washer/dry, flat screen TV., high speed internet, free phone calls to Canada and the US etc.. It is on the main floor and has a walkout to the inner courtyard, which has a pool. The condo is situated in a Mexican neighbourhood, which is approximately 8 blocks from 5th avenue. This distance can be easily walked. If you prefer to take a taxi, the cost is only $2.00. A large grocery store is a block and ½ away. The condo was very clean and has the most comfortable bed I have experienced in Mexico. Should we return to Playa Del Carmen next year we will definitely be contacting Victor to book this reasonably priced unit.
