We found it ideal for our needs, ideally situated for our overseas guests, and very comfortable. Not easy to accomodate 6 adults together and would have needed 3 hotel rooms. It would have split the family up. This apartment allowed us to stay together, cook and eat together.

We stayed here for our girls weekend away. It was a great location, close to the Casino and shopping. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very homey. It fitted 8 of us in there nicely. Thanks Jason for all of your help. ��

Ideal location

Approx a 10-15minute walk to mid city, shops etc. Ideal location for our girls weekend shopping trip.

Spacious apartment easily accommodated 5 of us. With the 2 bathrooms of much use. Lovely swimming pool.

Apartment itself was nice enough, could do with a slight spruce up to modernise it a little.

Jason was very quick to reply to any emails and provided thorough information on our stay.

We were also greeted very warmly upon arrival & settled into the apartment.

Disqusting and Dirty

I am not sure who wrote the previous ratings as either they lied or they were the ones that trashed the condo. It was very dirty. When we unlocked the doors our jaws dropped. We could not believe the carpet and overall condition of the unit. We spent the first two hours cleaning. Didn't help as the two vacuums in the unit were both broke. One overheated after running 2 minutes and shut off. The other one ran but had NO suction. Not a good deal when we had an 18 month old child that wanted to crawl on the floor. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty. Last person who left decided to put them in cabinet dirty probably so they wouldn't have to pay an extra fee. You could write your name in the dust on top of the refrigerator. The place has a great location and great views. You better like the views because several of the blinds were piled in the closet floor. You have no privacy and it is hard to sleep in with the light coming in. Other things that we found were burnt out bulbs everywhere. No battery in smoke detector, cracked stool in Master bath. Bedspreads dirty and the sheet were worn. I emailed Jason about our disappointment. He said he was sorry and gave us back the deposit for the exit cleaning. NOT ENOUGH in my book.

He claimed he was going to have the carpets shampooed and the blinds rehung.

If you are considering renting here please have him prove the place has been cleaned up or look for somewhere else. A huge disappointment. If you want photos, I can send to you.

Owner's Response: I have been renting through VRBO since 2007 and want to ensure my guests have a great experience staying in Melbourne and therefore take guest comments seriously to ensure future travellers benefit. When serious issues with the apartment are identified by guests, all attempst to rectify them as soon as possible are made. Mark contacted me immediately on arrival expressing disappointment in the apartment. Unfortunately I believe Mark and Laurens disappointment with the apartment started before their arrival as the original dates they enquired on were booked before they could secure the dates and they had to book alternative dates. Also they had requested extra services that I was unable to provide just prior to their arrival, such as an early checkin and storage of luggage. After describing in detail the areas the guest felt were unsatisfactory I wanted to make sure any valid issues were rectified and addressed. The guests were less interested in rectification of issues and more interested in financial compensation. I was unable to validate the subjective perspective of cleanliness in the apartment but I had the cleaning crew revisit the site to address possible issues with cleanliness. In the interest of guest satisfaction, the exit clean fee was reimbursed immediately. This response failed to satisfy the guests. In addition to reimbursing the exit clean fee and sending the cleaners back the issues reported were dealt with as follows: 1. Carpet clean - deep clean conducted after guest departure 2. Bedspreads / Sheets worn and dirty - unable to validate as we do not use bedspreads on our beds, we doublesheet the duvets and the laundry is provided as a service from same service that supplies local 5* hotels. 3. Blinds that were downed - blinds repaired, parts were ordered to replace during guests stay but did not arrive until after departure. 4. Vaccuum cleaner - vacuums were replaced by top of the line Dyson vertical vacuum 5. A full maintenance sweep was done of the apartment following guests stay to rectify any maintenance issues. Immediately following the guests stay the apartment was reported to me to be in good condition and the guests staying immediately after these guests reported a 5 star review. I am sorry that Lauren and Mark had an experience that led them to report an extreme negative position on their stay with us. I continue to maintain the apartment at levels that most guests report to be good, if not excellent.

Amazing apartment in Melbourne CBD

My family had the opportunity to stay in Jason's apartment in Melbourne CBD for 6 nights in Nov 2013. In one word the apartment is amazing! The location is perfect and the view of the city from the windows is spectacular (we could just stare out the window and not even want to leave the apartment!).

The apartment was spacious, very well equipped and had everything we needed. Very accessible to public transportation and popular city sights. While I did not get the chance to meet Jason personally, he was always very prompt at replying to my questions. Everything was as promised when we arrived at the apartment and we had a very enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to experience Melbourne.
