This beautiful, tastefully furnished home is located on the open water of the Atlantic Ocean and has all the amenities of home. With a large boat dock new bait freezer. A cut-in boat basin allows easy ocean access, and protects your boat from any wind. Sea view and a fishing haven ! The lower keys have some of the best fishing . Also for the divers, Looe Key and the Bush ship wreck is by far the best diving in the Keys, and they are both strait out from Cudjoe Key. Cudjoe is a charming Keys's town with nearby restaurants, a day spa, and unique shops. Enjoy one of the worlds most beautiful sunsets. Go back country fishing, sport fishing, or dive the wrecks. Bring your own boat or charter one from one of the many nearby marina's. All this within minutes of this rental property. Something for everyone! For an unforgettable vacation..... this place has it all
Quite dead end street.: The house sits on a quite dead end street, with only 5 other homes on the entire block. I own the vacant lot next door for added privacy. The house was completely remodeled inside and out in Dec. of 2006. With new decks, siding, tile, dock, and paint. A new bait freezer downstairs for the avid fisherman. Rental includes two one-man kayaks and one two-person kayak to paddle around the islands and the use of two bikes.
Ocean views from the decks are the best in the Key: The ocean views consist of open water with three Island dotting the horizon. The closest island is a major bird habitat. During the evening you can watch the birds flock to the island to nest, then leaving again at sunrise. There are much more interior photo's at our home web site .
There is also a vacant lot next to the house for your privacy and to park your trailer or cars.
we had a great time here. very convenient to key west (about 20 miles or so) The owner was very efficient and friendly and checked that we had everything. The use of the kayaks and heated pool were very handy. The views are spectacular and we would recommend this place to anyone.
Great food in Key west!!
This past August, our family consisting of myself, my husband, my 2 adult sons, and one of their friends rented this wonderful vacation home. We live in Palm Beach County, FL and were seeking a vacation without the cost and bother of air travel. The house was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. It was very clean and we had no problem with pests. The pool was a little smaller than I imagined, but provided just the right opportunity for cooling off. (My husband even swam multiple laps in it.) We all enjoyed using the Kayaks to explore the surrounding waters. The bikes provided an opportunity for one of my sons to have a bike adventure, as well. Being August, it was very hot, so we enjoyed the spaciousness of the inside of the home during the hottest time of the day. The location is great, and we went into Key West 3 times, once to go deep sea fishing on a party boat, once to see the Sunset Festival, and once to take a tour by the Old Town Trolley (really too hot to do much walking during the day in Key West.)We went snorkeling using a dive company called "Strike Zone" in Big Pine Key. The woman who managed the snorkelers on the boat (I think her name was Hazel) was terrific. If you use this company, ask to be on a boat with her. She made the trip special. We enjoyed a nearby restaurant called the Square Grouper. I also enjoyed some coffee and pastries at a local bake shop, I think it was called the Sugarloaf Bake Shop, on the Gulf side of US 1, east of Cudjoe. Other activities we enjoyed were looking for Key Deer on No Name Key, going to Bahia Honda Beach, and exploring the local shops. Peter, the house owner was very pleasant to work with and answered our many questions. Our security deposit was returned promptly. We even had the cooperation of Mother Nature: Tropical Storm Isaac was just beginning to approach the morning we had planned to leave. Although we had some rain, our trip back was uneventful. Would definitely recommend the home to others.
Great house, great location! We brought our boat, and were pleasantly surprised to find a boat ramp right next to the property, and the house just one away from the bay. The view from our deck was spectacular. We went in to Key West twice, just a short drive from Cudjoe. The house easily accommodated 3 couples, and even had a 4th couple with us for 3 of the nights. I highly recommend this home to anyone!
My family went for a week and had a great time.We enjoyed the veiw, the pool, the kayaks. The Square Grouper is a great restaurant and is close by. Key West is a short drive. The only problem was the week ended too soon. The owner was very helpful in responding when we were booking . Hope to go back again.
We rented this house the week before the people who wrote the termite review and we had no problems with termites or any signs of them while we here. We checked out the Saturday before these folks arrived and everything was fine. We loved the house and enjoyed our stay. Our entire family consisting our two children and their spouses had only good things to say about the house. The pest control came while we were there to see if there we any problems and the pool was cleaned the Saturday we arrived. We would definitely stay there again. This is the third house we have rented in the area and it was the best of the three. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with.
We arrived to a very clean house, pool and grounds and enjoyed our stay very much. Air conditioning worked great and the view from the living room deck was beautiful. Boat ramp adjacent to yard was a great feature as was the boat dock on the canal leading to the Atlantic. Pool was very nice and nicely shaded in late afternoon. Lots of stairs but this is a necessty so close to the water and in hurricane country. Similar at all neighboring properties. Kayaks and bicycles also furnished. Home owner very friendly and easy to communicate with. We plan to go back next year
Cudjoe key is the perfect setting for your perfect vacation. With a small town atmospheres for peace and quite, yet only 23 miles to Key West for all the excitement you can handle. There are shops, restaurants, and grocery stores all close by for your convenience.
Other Activities: kayaking, biking
Golf: There are two golf courses near by. One in Marathon, and the other in Key West
