Shangri-La is a beautiful waterfront custom home with a private boat dock. It features a spacious floor plan, luxuriously furnished on two stories. The lower level has a gourmet kitchen that opens to the dining and living area with fireplace, wet bar and 1 bedroom with queen size bed and a half bath. The living area has spectacular views of Lake Travis through the numerous windows, and includes a home theater system with DLP wide screen. French doors open to a covered balcony overlooking the Lake. The upper level has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms featuring a luxurious master suite with king size bed, fireplace and wet bar. The master suite has a spacious bathroom that includes a Jacuzzi tub, shower, his & her sinks, and extra large closets. The master suite also opens out to a private upper covered balcony. The second bedroom has a set of full sized bunk beds and a loft with a single bed, and it connects though a full bath to the third bedroom with a queen bed.

From Houston: Take Highway 290 from Houston to Austin, or take IH-10 from Houston to Columbus. At Columbus turn right on Highway 71 west to Austin. From Austin: Follow Highway 71 West through Austin towards Lake Travis. Continue on Highway 71 West 11 miles past RR 620 to FM 2322. Turn right on FM 2322 and go about 3.5 miles. Turn right on Cat Hollow Club Drive (1st right after Briarcliff Marina). Shangri-La is 8/10th of a mile down Cat Hollow Club Drive on the right, just past the Whitecliff Condo's at 1605-A. From Dallas: Take IH-35 south from Dallas to Round Rock. Turn right on RR 620 and follow it past Mansfield Dam all the way until it dead ends into Highway 71 West. Turn right on Highway 71 West and follow it for 11 miles to FM 2322. Turn right on FM 2322 and go about 3.5 miles. Turn right at Cat Hollow Club Drive (1st right after Briarcliff Marina). Shangri-La is 8/10th of a mile down Cat Hollow Club Drive on the right, just past the Whitecliff Condos at 1605-A.

Additional information about rental rates

  • $400 - $550 per night.
  • Payment: Reservations are confirmed when ½ of the total rental is received, with the balance due at check-in. For rental payment we accept Visa & MasterCard, Cash, or Checks & Money Orders made payable to Austin Lakeside Properties – mailed to 22658 Felicia Drive, Briarcliff TX 78669. If paying by check, it must be received within 7 days of telephone booking.

    Damage Deposits: A valid Credit Card, from the responsible person for the rental, is required On all reservations for the security damage deposit. Credit Card number will be verified and damage deposit authorized at time of check-in ($300/Condo or $500/house). If there are no damages or other fees (excessive cleaning fee, lost key fee, lost item return fee) – then nothing will be charged to your Credit Card. However renters are financially responsible for all damages to the house and grounds, and the Credit Card on file can be charged to cover these damages.
  • Cancellation Policy: If you cancel once you have a confirmed reservation, a $25.00 Cancellation Fee will be charged to your Credit Card. Cancellations must be made by phone “person to person”. No voice messages or e-mails will be accepted for cancellations. If canceled less than 30 days before the rental – you will be charged ½ of the total rental. If canceled less than 14 days before the rental, or you “no show” – you will be charged for the full rental price. If we can re-rent the property for your dates – you will only be charged the cancellation fee.

Lake Travis Conditions: Lake Travis is considered the Crown Jewel of the Highland Lakes, known for it's beautiful coves, steep bluffs, peninsulas & good fishing. The Lake is 63 miles long with 270 miles of shoreline. There are large open areas for sail boats and high bluffs to block wind for great water skiing. The water is deep, clean and clear, great for swimming and scuba diving. There are numerous Marinas & Restaurants on the lake for your boating and dining needs.

We rented this home for my father's retirement party. It housed 7 adults perfectly - plenty of room, plenty of view, lots of space. It was a beautiful, well maintained property. The only downside to the home was the kitchen - there are not enough (or sharp enough) kitchen knives, or silverware for a group larger than 4-5 people. Otherwise this is a wonderful home for a group of adults.
