This truly unique 2-acre property w/ two homes will make for a memorable vacation! The first house is a fun 2/2 ½ home that is “Texas lake living”. Enjoy the authentic decor hanging on the cozy pine walls, store your goods in the 6-ft long 1939 Frigidaire & cook on the “cool” 1955 O’Keefe & Merritt chrome plated stove. Then relax on the 1,000 sq.ft deck--play darts, grill dinner & hang out in the 1950s theater seats that serve as bar stools for the 22-ft long copper-top bar after a long day on the water. Another 1,500 sq.ft covered entertainment area awaits you at the gently sloping waterfront which faces the Bee Creek arm of Lake Travis (one of the lake’s most popular skiing areas). Also awaiting you at the water is a floating 1/1 house called the Hula Dock--your own South Pacific hideaway w/ bamboo reed walls & tropical prints, kitchen w/ copper & teak trimmed counters, a second story deck & doors in the living room floor that open up to reveal the lake beneath your feet! From Austin, take Hwy. 71 West and proceed west on 71 approximately 8 miles past R.R. 620 to R.O. Drive. Watch for R.O. drive right after 71 West goes from 2 lanes to 1 lane heading west. Turn right on R.O. Drive and go 1.9 miles to Bee Creek Rd. Turn left on Bee Creek Rd., go about 1/10 of a mile to Cory Lane. Turn Right on Cory Lane and stay left when the road splits, Cory Lane then turns into Oak Ridge. The home is on the left side 1/10 of mile from Bee Creek Rd. and has a huge rock wall with the address 2705 Oak Ridge.

Additional information about rental rates

  • $325-$450 per night....2 night minimum......3 night minimum on Holidays and the entire month of July
  • PAYMENT POLICY: Once you have indicated your desire to rent, we will hold the property for 7 days while awaiting your rental deposit of 50% of the total rent. If not received within that period we cannot hold the dates. Within 30 days of your scheduled arrival date we require the other 50% of the total rent with 6% tax plus a $500 damage security deposit. The security deposit will be mailed to you after your departure assuming no damages or extra cleaning. If we do not receive the second installment on the rent and the security deposit prior to 30 days of your arrival date, the first 50% of rent held as deposit will be forfeited and your reservation will be canceled. Simply remain in contact with us and confirm our receipt of deposits and things should be fine.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cancel once you have a confirmed reservation and more than 30 days from your scheduled arrival date, every effort to re-rent the property during your reservation period will be made. If the home can be rented for your dates, your deposit, less a $75 fee will be refunded. If we are unable to re-rent the home, your deposit will be forfeited. If the cancellation occurs with less than 30 days remaining, once again every effort to re-rent will be made however if it is not re-rented for your dates, you will be charged the full rental rate and your security deposit ($500) will be returned. All cancellations must be done over the phone live. (No voice mails or emails will be accepted for cancellations).

Lake Travis Conditions: Lake Travis is considered the Crown Jewel of the Highland Lakes, known for it's beautiful coves, steep bluffs, peninsulas & good fishing. The Lake is 63 miles long with 270 miles of shoreline. There are large open areas for sail boats and high bluffs to block wind for great water skiing. The water is deep, clean and clear, great for swimming and scuba diving. There are numerous Marinas & Restaurants on the lake for your boating and dining needs. The lake is considered full at 681 ft. above sea level & it is currently around 680 ft above sea level, about 1 ft. low. All ramps are open in our area including Briarcliff Marina & Pace Bend Park. Call the Park entrance booth to check on current status of ramps & fees.

We absolutely loved staying in this house. It has so much personality that it made our little gathering even more special. It definitely has an "Austin" feel to it and you can tell the owners have put a lot of time and love into making this a great place for families and groups of friends to really enjoy themselves. Great location, great water access even with the water level way down, and really nice people to rent from. Thanks!

Unique experience

We rented the property for a guys weekend - relaxing, BBQ and fishing. While we had seen the pictures on the site, we were prepared for what we saw in person. The house is amazing and has a style that creates the perfect mood and vibe. There were 12 of us and we had more than enough space. In fact, we had a hard time using all of the outdoor space. The main house has a large deck with the 22 foot bar that overlooks a large yard. While it was just us guys, the deck overlooking the yard would be perfect to watch over the kids while they play. There is a second large deck towards the water that has lots of stone work, another grill, and ping pong table. The Hula dock is absolutely cool as can be. Overall we were blown away by it and plan on renting it again. The owner was very accommodating to our schedule and needs. We had nothing but a great experience.

Lake Travis Paradise!

The whole family spent a week at this unique lakefront property! We have three teenagers who all brought a friend or two. There was plenty of room for everyone. We fell in love with the place as soon as we arrived.The decor is indescribable, unique and so much fun to see the detail the owners put in creating this lake house. The property gives you a feeling of seclusion in a paradise unlike any other. We brought our boat and two jetskis and spent a week on beautiful lake travis. The property is really big and spacious full of beautiful trees with plenty of room for volleyball, bocce ball and any yard game imaginable. The ping pong table and pavillion down by the cove provided entertainment in the cool evenings after dinner. The kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and the outside deck is awesome for entertaining.The deck outside the kitchen has a unique bar unlike any other with a dart board. Once you arrive you don't want to leave except for some lake activities but then you want to get back to the house or one of the decks to hang out and relax. This is a great place to get together with family and friends and spend real quality time together!
The property owner is a down to earth honest great guy and very helpful and available when you need something but does not get in the way at all.

BEST LAKEHOUSE EVER!!

The moment we walked in the door, we started planning a reason to come back! We had a group of girls for a relaxing weekend and a low-key girls night in, and Cove Haven & Hula Dock was the perfect place.

The house is so stylized, and they thought of every detail. The owners are so nice and very helpful. The large pavilion is perfect for sitting around and playing games, the awesome grill was great for burgers, and the deck is so amazing--we spent the whole weekend out there, fantastic bar too! And the Hula Dock was just icing on the cake!

I would recommend this home to anyone I know, and I already have (and I've only been back home for 3 hours!).

the perfect retreat

I was excited after booking this property because it seemed so unique; I had very high expectations and they were FAR exceeded. There are so many interesting features not even mentioned! Though the description is accurate, its quite a humble version of how I would describe it. This house is truly a work of art, yet is so inviting and comfortable. The kitchen is perfect for cooking for large families; the outdoor areas are fantastic for dining, grilling, or just hanging out. There is so much natural light with enormous windows and the natural wood interior. My favorite part is the upstairs master bedroom suite. Its a cozy apartment in itself; it feels like living in the nicest tree-house you've ever been in... with the windows open and breeze flowing through... I didn't want to leave and have already made plans to return next year!
The property owner is down-to-earth, very accommodating, friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I feel like I made a new friend in the process. I highly recommend this property to anyone who has an appreciation for historical preservation... or just anyone who wants to have a fun, relaxing vacation in a place that is truly memorable. Call Tom right away because I can't imagine this place will be vacant for long!
