San Diego Vacation Rental condo

We stayed in this lovely condo for a week in June. We drove from Texas & this was such a relaxing part of our vacation. My parents flew in to meet us in San Diego & we all stayed at the condo. The airport is very close to the condo. The condo was so roomy that our family including my parents had plenty of room. The air mattresses were so comfortable that my parents bought one for their house when they got home!

The place is even kid-friendly & they had a few games for the kids & the kids loved eating at the bar each morning for breakfast.

The kitchen was stocked with so many staples (like spices, olive oil, etc.) that we were able to cook out several times by just buying a few items. The grocery store that is a couple of blocks away had great buys (thanks to the Ralph's card on the key chain that the owners so thoughtfully provide!!) The owners are so gracious in all the "little things" that they provide for their guests. The back patio was one of my mother's favorite parts of the trip. We would sight-see all day & then come & grill & eat dinner & relax on the back patio. The weather was so pleasant & the sound of the waterfall from the courtyard was very relaxing. The entire condo was the quietest condo we have ever rented --as well as the cleanest...it was SPOTLESS!!!

The location was very convienient. It was about 10 minutes from the zoo, 30 minutes from legoland & the wild animal park & about 10 - 15 minutes from SeaWorld. We were able to walk to the USS Midway (a highlight for my dad, husband & little boy) & my parents found plenty to do within walking distance. The trolley line was close by as well.

Overall, this condo was very nice! We loved that it was at street level, so we could park our car in front (paid parking, but meter parking) & load & unload. It made it very convienient! The underground secure parking was nice too. We would definately stay here again & I would recommend it to friends planning a trip to San Diego.

I traveled from Europe to spend a week in San Diego, where I attended at a Scientific Meeting. I usually prefer private homes to Hotels, because you enjoy full freedom and have more space available at comparable rates. I choose this place because it was close to the Convention Center, but as soon as I arrived, I found it very pleasant, comfortable and well located. The description to reach the place was perfect, the property was well maintained and fully furnished with everything you may need. Close to the main downtown attractions, I could profit of every free minute for walking around and having a great time. I appreciated Balboa park, the beautiful skyline and the live atmosphere in the evening. In particular, I was delighted by dining at fine restaurants such as Candelas, Aqua Blu and Greystone. Indeed, I had the feeling of being on a vacation, rather than at work. Fit for families, I am happy to recommend this property to anyone visiting San Diego, who likes freedom and high-standard living and service.

Our four person family thrived here. The property is really clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked. The owners wee really attentive and well-organized. The patio is a great place to enjoy coffee and cocktails. The nearby grocery store (3 blocks) has everything. There are fabulous restaurants and clubs nearby (but not too near--it's nice and quiet) and the harbor area is about 5 minutes on foot. Rent a car since you get private parking.You can drive practically anywhere within the city in short time: beautiful Balboa Park, Point Loma, Sunset Cliffs, Mission Beach. La Jolla is pretty close and well-worth the trip. Be sure to go to the aquarium.
