The BBC is a 2-story, 4-Bedroom Chalet that we have completely remodeled (originally built in 1969, it has been passed down in the family), with all new furniture, appliances, decor and amenities. Additionally, it features keyless entry, hardwood floors, lots of natural light and the all-important wireless Internet. Located just down the road from Fred's General Mercantile and one mile from Ski Beech, the BBC is quaintly tucked away in the woods on a gravel road where you are sure to be in perfect harmony with nature.
You'll find the Chalet classy, yet still having that classic mountain look and feel. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor - a master with queen bed and full double vanity bathroom, a guest room with a queen bed and another guest room with two twin beds. Each bedroom has a TV, DVD player and DirecTV; all beds have feather beds and mattress pads on them, covered in hotel quality linens for your utmost comfort.
The guest bathroom also features a double vanity, and there are plenty of plush towels at your fingertips. There is central heat in the BBC for your use during the colder months. Because Beech Mountain stays in the low 70's during the summer months, the chalet stays nice and cool, especially with the windows open and the breezes coming through.
In the dining room area there is a beautiful wood table (adjustable for up to six) in front of a gigantic window, with a view of the front deck and garden. Adjacent is a full kitchen with lots of windows that offers almost every convenience, whether you want to cook a huge meal or just snack! There is a small "office area" with a printer/fax/copier/scanner and office supplies for your use.
In the special "mud room" nearby, you'll find a new washer and dryer and a place for your boots, skis, hats and coats. The living room features a sleeper sofa, recliner, Flat screen TV, DirecTV with DVR, DVD library, in-ceiling surround sound, organ, gas fireplace and two huge sliding glass doors that open to the upper deck. A gas grill and table with comfy chairs and loungers await to help you relax after a day of fun.
Walk back out onto the new front deck by the garden, and a few steps around either side of the house, and step onto the new lower back deck where a relaxing hot tub awaits to ease your body after a day on the slopes. Or, you can sit in the chairs, have a glass of wine, look out at the trees and mountains and breathe in the fresh air. Beautiful French doors lead into the bottom half of the Chalet (its only entry - very private), which is entirely new and features its own central heat and huge windows. On one end there is a fabulous bedroom with a queen bed, half bath and private shower. The middle area of the floor features a 4 person sauna and another double vanity sink with half bath.
The other end of the floor features a fantastic game room with a bar, microwave, small refrigerator, full futon, Flat screen TV, DVD player, XBOX, DirecTV, theater sound system, and 3-in-1 bumper pool and poker table!
By staying at the BBC, you have privileges at the fantastic Beech Mountain Club , which is only a mile and a half away. For a fee, you can use their Olympic size heated swimming pool and the incredible golf course, tennis, fitness and dining facilities. There is also a great new recreation center nearby, and many trails to hike and explore. We also have tennis rackets and balls, baseball gloves, board and card games, Frisbees, fishing rods and the like for you to use.
