This is the best house I've ever rented on the oregon coast. It's less than a block away from a beautiful, huge, sugar-sand beach and close to several amazing state parks. The house has a super nice giant hot tub in a cool wood hut on the deck. There is also a glass front wood stove which made the evenings very cozy.
We found several good restaurants in the area and the shopping in manzanita was surprisingly interesting. There aren't that many stores but they are all full of inexpensive, beautiful, unique, local handcrafts - jewelry, knitting, stained glass, painting, pottery, etc. It seems many Manzanita residents are artists, and the town has a laid-back, fun personality.
The owners of this rental were easy to deal with. It is also the least expensive house very near the beach that I found - and I did a lot of research. This place worked great for me, my parents and my child - it is very family friendly, but it also had a lot of romantic touches and I am dreaming of going back there for a week with my husband!
