we spend a whole week in this beautiful place. we are a family of 5 with elders and a child. the house is clean, well stocked, close to beach, in a quiet neighborhood and big enough for all of us. the owner is very nice, reasonable and considerate. she even took the trouble to mail us a CD we carelessly left behind. a great place, a great time and high recommended!
We stayed at Marshview for one week with our infant daughter and my parents. It was an amazing week in an amazing place. The owner thought of absolutely everything, and the home and property were well maintained. We couldn't have asked for more.
We had a great family vacation in this beautiful house ! This is an immaculate property filled with all the things our family of 4 needed and even more!
The house is spacious and the garden as well, we never felt short of space after spending a great day outdoor. The location is excellent, close to the beach, not too far to the town center but far enough to enjoy privacy and peace !
The owner was very welcoming and we appreciate her nice attentions.
We will come back to enjoy another break !

This Chatham week's vacation was wonderful. This home is brand new and spotless,along with brand new appliances and the cabinets are stocked with all the cooking ware and dishes you would need for inside and outside dining. It is so spacious and bright and cheerful,and decorated nicely. The side deck overlooks the marshland which is very private ....you don't see any neighbors and it is so comforting and fabulous for relaxing and watching all sorts of birds and herons and it's also equipped with a nice gas BBQ grill and table and chairs and lounger. The bedrooms and baths are big and very accommodating. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bedding is so delightful! Steve and I are in our 50's and were so impressed with all that is provided for us to use in this home. My daughter and son-in-law and their 2 1/2 year old twins came for a visit and spent 4 days with us.The twins loved all the room there was for them to run around in and the perfect beds they had for them. In the basement you will find a new washer and dryer and kids toys for the beach...boggy boards, nice folding beach chairs, a wagon to pull the kids, a cooler, sand blanket, beach bags etc. again this owner thought of everything and made our stay so welcoming! We walked each day to Ridgevale Beach which was fun....especially since you have the Narraganset Bay to swim in (no sharks) and also the tidal pond which was perfect for my grandchildren. They sure had fun playing in this pond and finding little fish and hermit crabs! The water level was just to their knees- so they were very comfortable in playing and running in the pond. We brought our bikes and were able to ride our bikes from this vacation home to the Cap Cod railway bikepath ....it's a very short distance away....no driving needed! Plenty of room in their basement to store your bikes and whatever else you need to store while you are there. There are wonderful restaurants and a great main street that's full of fun boutique shops to browse around. There is also the Chatham Potttery store right around the corner from the vacation house ....beautiful pottery and yes I bought a piece ....a Mermaid pottery bowl...luv it! Be sure to check out this homeaway - it's a gem!
wonderful location - walk to beach, short ride to Chatham Center, food, restaurants.
Clean, comfortable living space and bedrooms. Able to accomodate up to 8 people. Breezy, relaxing deck overlooking marsh with no insects. Excellent place for grilling. Owner is very accomodating.
Me and my family (my wife, 3-year old daughter and a baby) rented the house for two weeks in august. We had a great vacation. Everything in the description is correct, we found it well-maintained and clean and there is much, much more. Just a few things we loved:
- the easy stroll to the beach, kids in the cart that is found in the basement;
- the extremely well-equipped kitchen;
- the location at the end of a dead-end street: no traffic;
- the huge and well maintained garden and terrace;
- my daughter tells me I should mention the toys and the slides;
- much, much more.
The house is conveniently close to 'downtown' Chatham (with its restaurants), but you do need a car. We loved sailing from the harbor in Harwich.
I am having trouble coming up with a weakness, maybe that our baby could theoretically worm himself through the railing of the terrace (kept us alert) or that in the evening there were some bugs, as anywhere in the Cape. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the beach, who likes their privacy or who has children.
During the summer months Chatham offers all the activities that the Cape
is known for - beaches, fresh water ponds, fishing, sailing, kayaking, bird watching, biking, and hiking. You may also decide to lounge on the beach, play a round of golf, set sail aboard a seal cruise, or take in a play at the theater. Also popular are Friday night band concerts downtown and Sunday night music events hosted by local churches. A place for family memories that will last a lifetime.
Other Activities: bike path, kayaking, band concerts, baseball, tennis, seal and whale watching
