Rose Cottage... A unique, cozy, three bedroom, two and a half bath home located one block from the beach on a street that has direct gulf access (no streets to cross) and walking distance to Silver Sands Outlet Mall. Actually, the location is perfect; right across the street is Skipper’s which features the best steamed shrimp and locally caught fresh fish daily, Win-Dixie a full service grocery, Cash’s for the evening cocktail supplies, a TCBY for the ice cream snack, a cleaners, shoe repair, etc. On the beach, you can experience Parasailing, rent a catamaran or just do nothing… Then, for evening entertainment, you are only one mile from Sandestin and The Village of Baytowne Wharf which comes alive with family activities and nightlife. The Events Plaza is a-buzz with live music and a series of events, concerts and entertainment year around as well as many nightclubs. The area also includes many fabulous indoor and open air restaurants. Please read my guests comments. Thx.

The Rose Cottage is located in Miramar Beach which is about 5 miles east of Destin. Miramar Beach provides a quieter family oriented location while still being close to shopping, restaurants and other Florida activities. My home is perfect for kids as they do not have to cross the street while going to the beach. My home is on a dead end street that is only 200 yards to the beach walkway. I even have a red wagon for the little kids so you do not have to carry them. Across the street is the WinnDixie, Cash's Liquor store, Dollar General, Ice Cream and of course Skippers - the best fresh fish in Destin. Then across new 98, the Silver Sands Outlet Mall provides the shopper the best in retail establishments.

Wonderful vacation experience!

My family had a wonderful time renting this home! It is furnished very nicely and the kitchen has EVERYTHING you could image needing. How many rentals have nice china and REAL wine glasses? The location was so convenient! When they said it was close to the beach they weren't kidding. My kids lived on the beach and with a family of five people, not everyone wanted to come and go at the same time. Because the house was so close and the area very safe, we felt comfortable letting our kids walk back and forth from the house to the beach.

Additionally, less than a 1/2 block in the other direction was the grocery store (Winn Dixie) and TCBY and Dollar General. So walking to the store and not having to drive was a plus. Shopping and restaurants were in abundance.

Finally, this property was located near SanDestin and the area tended to be more upscale and less congested than properties closed inside of Destin. The home is managed by the personal owner and you can tell the difference from other properties that are managed corporately. Dealing with the owner was comforting.

We've already told our friends about this home and how key it was to making our vacation enjoyable. We had zero complaints.....except for having to leave and come home!

We rented this beautiful villa for a week from april 20 to the 27 and I can't say enough nice things to describe this place ,extremely convenient, close to everything ,beautiful walk to the beach, nicely landscaped,
Our baby is 9 month old and she had an awesome time staying at the rose cottage, she had everything there and felt very comfortable, we will gladly return again next year ,thank you Patricia

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Rose Cottage. It was our first experience with home rental and it was an excellent choice! All the pictures are accurate, only a short walk to the beach, and being on a
dead end, traffic was minimal and evenings very quiet. It was also a short walk to the grocery store and a huge outlet mall. The house was immaculate and very well appointed with great appliances and utensils and a nice laundry. Sleep came easily on very comfortable beds outfitted with fine sheets and pillows.
The small courtyard had high fenced walls to allow sunning out of the wind. Be forewarned, the
smoke alarm goes off when the toaster is directly under it.
There are also great eating places and the owner was helpful with recommendations.

TASTEFULLY DECORATED HOME!

Words cannot express the beauty of Rose Cottage! We travel extensively and have stayed in over 100 rental homes; AND Rose Cottage exceeded our expectations! We live in Destin and wanted to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday in a special setting. The minute we walked in the front door, we were mesmerized by all the attention to the decorating and detail in Rose Cottage. My mom did not want to leave as the home had put a magical spell on all of us! The location was perfect as we strolled to the beach and crossed the street to Buster's for fried crab claws. Thank you, Miss Pat, for hosting my Mom's birthday; we will definitely be back!

Delightful Cottage!

Our family (3 adults) stayed at Rose Cottage Thanksgiving week and found it to be all as was described and more. The bedrooms were comfortable, as were the beds. The bathrooms were accommodating, with great showers and little extra details. We were comfortable cooking in the kitchen and enjoyed the "luxury" of 2 coffeemakers (which were both used)! Also a plus was the outdoor gas grill which was also used. We also utilized the desk for keeping our electronic devices charged--another bonus. The beach was gorgeous and very close. We rode our bikes every day on the bike trail. Shopping was convenient as were great local restaurants in the area. Pat was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend Rose Cottage and would be repeat renters if we're in this area again in the future. What a relaxing trip we had due to all the details Pat put into this home!
