Absolutely PERFECT in every way!!

We can't say enough about our stay at the villa.
Everything was exactly as described, even better! We loved everything about it, everything you need is there, just pick up a few groceries in town, and you will be set.

The bus stops right down the street, (at Bianca Garza Just north over the bridge), it stops by every 10 minutes or so, and is the best way to get to downtown (romantic district). It is equally as easy to get cabs, they are constantly driving by. The bus is just much cheaper, about 1 dollar for 2 people where as a cab is anywhere from 7-10 dollars, or more if you go farther into town.

We took the bus to Mismolya and stopped at the tour kiosk to sign up for the Canopy El Eden tour, we had a great time on the tour, and we highly recommend it.

The one concern I had before going was security and safety, I never thought about it while we were there. We felt very safe, and felt comfortable leaving valuables in the villa while we went into town.

The staff that takes care of the villa were wonderful, they work very hard, and it shows, the villa is immaculate!

We have told everyone about Casa Amatista. Anyone that is reading this review still wondering if they should stay there.... DO IT, you will not be disappointed!

FANTASTIC!

I have been coming to PVR for several years and this was the best stay I've ever experienced! Everything opens up to the pool/patio area and views of the jungle. It's the perfect setting to enjoy your coffee in the morning and watch the parakeets fuss and play in the trees. Commuting is not a problem. There are buses and taxis that pass often that can get you anyplace you need to go. A few of the other reviews mention the noisy traffic, but we never found it bothersome. Also, there is a speed bump right in front of the villa so the traffic has to slow down. This is helpful when crossing to get to the beach, although even with kids in tow, we never had problems. The beach is a short walk, it's clean and never seemed to be crowded. If you're looking for a romantic night out, I would highly recommend taking a taxi up the road to Le Kliffe. The views are amazing and the food and service were fantastic.
I really don't have enough nice things to say about the villa, its surroundings and/or the grounds keepers. Everything is very well kept, people are friendly and helpful and anything you could need to have an enjoyable stay is there. The pictures and description do not do it justice. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Simply said......we couldn't have found a better place to spend our vacation! Casa Amatista is perfect for the vacationer who wants to experience and enjoy a taste of real mexican living, and still have easy access to the beaches, the city of Puerto Vallarta, and many of the surrounding towns and amenities. A beautiful and well-maintained home - private - everything you need - and very well priced!

Casa Amitista- a great find in Puerto Vallarta

We just returned from Casa Amitista, and we were so impressed by the house. With everything opening onto the patio, it seemed like you were outside even when in. The house is meticulously maintained and has everything you could need. We loved Gaza Blanca beach. It was busy while we were there (Christmas week), but the local families at the beach were very friendly. Casa Amitista is well located; a quick ride gets you into Puerto Vallarta Centro, but you have the advantage of a residential neighborhood and close proximity to the beaches south of Puerto Vallarta. We will return!

Beautiful villa!

Villa Amistata is simply beautiful. We were overwhelmed by how lovely it is when we first walked in. It is exceptionally clean with really interesting decor and artwork. The plants surrounding the patio are gorgeous and we were greeting with the delicious smell of gardenias each morning.
The villa has such a great connection with the outdoors- even when you are "inside" it feels like you are out and the patio has a wonderful breeze. Garza Blanca beach is small, but great to be able to walk across the street to. It was truly a locals beach where we were ever the only Americans. Cabs were super easy to get going both into town and to Boca - we always got one within about 2 minutes of waiting.
The one negative is that the villa is very close to the road- this was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and we realized that you are either on the beach or you are on the road accross from it. You can't get around it. They are also building a hotel/condo on the beach front right across from the villa. It is unfortunate as it will certainly make for a much busier Garza Blanca beach and it takes away the serenity of the villa.
Otherwise, this was a great trip and a beautiful villa. We would recomend!
