This 100 year-old Victorian is located in Noe Valley, safe residential neighborhood in the geographic center of San Francisco. Here in one of the City’s favorite neighborhoods you’ll find a wide array of first rate restaurants, coffee houses, gourmet food stores, eclectic fashion shops & more in easy walking distance, not to mention some of the most favorable weather in San Francisco. Situated across the street from Noe Courts Park, which has tennis and basketball courts & children’s play area, there is easy street parking with no permits required. A bus stop is just on the corner or you can walk down 24th street to the Muni streetcar line that goes to Union Square & Embarcadero waterfront of downtown San Francisco. The City’s famous Castro neighborhood is a short bus ride over the hill, where you’ll find even more shops & restaurants, as well as a movie house & the Muni underground line. The Mission & its popular Valencia Street corridor are equally accessible on foot or bus.
The flat has its own private entrance from the street and is a wonderful mix of 'old meets new,' as is typical of many San Francisco residences. It has hardwood and softwood floors throughout. There is ample room with French doors to completely close off one parlor of the living room as a private second bedroom using the sleeper sofa. Beyond the double parlor living room a butler’s sink pantry opens into a sunny, eat-in kitchen, which is fully equipped with dishes, flatware, coffee makers and a full complement of cooking and serving utensils. A small deck off the kitchen overlooks a shared garden and patio. A bedroom with a queen platform bed and down comforter also looks on to the garden, and the bathroom features an antique claw foot tub with shower and a marble-topped vanity cabinet.
The owners live in the same building in the apartment above. We respect your privacy but are close at hand in case anything needs attention. In order to keep noise levels down and to prevent excessive wear and tear on the apartment, we ask that you do not throw parties or have large gatherings on the premises.
Ray and Meleah are long-time residents of Noe Valley and enjoy the active, urban village setting here. We're happy to share our in-depth knowledge of the area and recommend our favorite places for you to enjoy.

We've lived in this two-unit property for many years, and it is our pleasure and privelege to share it with you.
On a recent trip to San Francisco, I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderfully situated S.F. flat. As a single women traveling alone, it was important for me to be in a very safe neighborhood. Nearby parking was amble and public transportation was just steps away. This prime location in Noe Valley provides access to renowned 24th St. restaurants and shops. The flat is truly representative of S.F. housing and captures the City’s lifestyle in a way that makes you really want to live and stay in San Francisco.
We stayed a week visiting our grand daughter. We are visiting Noe Valley quite often and this apartment was one of the nicer places we stayed.
Cooking here was great because the kitchen is extremely well stocked! Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, appliances, etc.
Hope to stay again soon.
My husband and I chose this apartment for our semester-long stay in San Francisco this past fall, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Ray and Meleah are a delightful, warm, welcoming couple who immediately made us feel at home when, the first day, they brought a bag of lemons they'd picked from a friend's tree. They readily answered every question we had, from the best way to get downtown (24 Castro to Market, then the train), to the best place to buy fish (Sun Fat, down on Mission and 23d). Small repairs were taken care of quickly. (It's nice to have them upstairs, and they're very quiet.) I felt like I'd known them forever, and they treated us like old friends.
The apartment is spacious and tastefully furnished with a homey mix of furniture -- 2 sofas, 2 comfortable easy chairs, and a well-stocked eat-in kitchen. There are mostly wood floors throughout, with new carpeting in the bedroom. BTW, the mattress and bedding spoiled us with high count sheets and a lofty down comforter! We used the pull-out sofa in the front room when our daughter visited -- things were tight, but manageable, especially since there are basically two living rooms. There's a quiet backyard garden with flowering shrubs -- we ate lunch out there a lot, along with a few dinners. The gas fireplace in the front room was a huge plus when things were chilly.
Noe Valley is a great place to settle into -- fantastic farmers' market on Saturdays (BEST carrots ever at the last stall on the right), Philz coffee at the end of the block, a bike store, an art store, Whole Foods, a running store, a bookstore all within a 10 minute walk. (The apartment has a rolling grocery basket that I didn't discover til the end of our stay.) Bus service is half a block away (or 2 blocks, if you want the 24 Castro to go downtown.) There's a little park across the street with a children's playground and tennis courts, and nice walks in every direction, including Twin Peaks and Kite Hill, both with wonderful views. Church St. has Eric's (Chinese); the Castro Theater is a 30-minute walk/ Street parking was very easy and you don't need a permit.
There's a distinctive family feel in this neighborhood. Lots of strollers and schoolchildren walking to school. It's such a livable neighborhood and we were really glad to have chosen this particular apartment -- and would return again if we got the chance!
We stayed at this flat the month of July and had a great time! Our son lives in San Francisco so our main focus was to spend time with him and his girlfriend. They each live in small studio or one bedroom apartment so they enjoyed the space offered here as well! We spent numerous evenings eating, watching movies, playing cards, or just visiting.
Cooking here was great because the kitchen is extremely well stocked! Plenty of dishes, pots and pans, appliances, etc. Even used the crock pot a couple times so supper would be ready after an adventurous day. And we really enjoyed grilling a few times - especially on the 4th of July! The back garden is amazing!!!
The location of this flat is safe and convenient. We got clipper cards for $74 each for the month. That gave us access to the MUNI buses and trains and portions of the BART system, too. The #48 bus is simply across the street and is an easy connection to the city! We could be downtown in 30 minutes or less!
We enjoyed the Farmers' Market in Noe Valley on Saturday mornings. The shops in the area are nice and there is a great coffee shop steps away. Conveniently, there is a cleaners half block away, too.
Meleah and Ray are super people! They made us feel very comfortable and went out of their way to accommodate us. She even hooked us up with a friend who had Giants' baseball tickets for sale! We went to two games with those tickets :-)
We strongly recommend this rental. It has all of the amenities of home and then some! We absolutely loved it!

We stayed in this comfortable, spacious, well furnished apartment for two weeks in January 2011.
It was home from home for us .It was all it was depicted to be and more.It was our third visit to San Francisco and our favourite place. The neighbourhood was sunny and friendly with fine coffee shops restaurants, supermarket, stores etc .Meleah and Ray were very helpful with advice on the neighbourhood facilities and also on San Francisco. The area is very well served by public transport and a car is not necessary.Twin Peaks ,the Mission ,the Castro are all within walking distance for those that enjoy the odd hill!! We cooked dinner most evenings as the kitchen was well stocked and the dining area was very comfortable. We will stay again.
My husband, 22 month old daughter, and I really enjoyed our time at this beautiful flat. The flat was spacious and well stocked. The location was wonderful. We were within walking distance to everything. There is also a park just across the street that was perfect for our daughter. We absolutely loved our visit and plan to stay at this flat again in the future.
