Four season vacation home, just 20 feet from the water, with lots of windows facing the lake. Dock with comfortable chairs and canoe on-site in season. This cozy home has 3 bedrooms all with waterfront view and ceiling fans. 10 minutes from Sunday River Ski Resort, 90 minutes from Ocean, 45 minutes form North Conway NH, shopping outlets (LL Bean);45 minutes from Mount Washington Cog Railway, wide variety of hikes in White Mountain National Forest, excellent swimming and fishing, beautiful fall foliage in season, 5 minutes from Bethel- Maine's most beautiful mountain village. Or just enjoy reading a book in our cobble mountain swinging chair by the fireplace.

Sunday River Ski area is 10 minutes away, there are 7 Golf courses within an hours drive, Pompam beach on the ocean is 90 minutes away. The White Mountain National Forest is all around with a great variety of hikes.

Surrounded by White Mountain National Forest, wide variety of hikes. Canoe or tube the Saco river, ride up Mt Washington on the cog railway, hike to step falls a natural water slide carved in stone. The fall foliage is awesome. Lounge on the dock, swim, fish, sunbath, have a fire at night in the outside firepit, behold the starlit night sky. In the winter ski at Sunday River, Wildcat, Tuckermans Ravine, Sugarloaf, Mt Abrams.

We enjoyed this property. The photos did not give a real idea of this fantastic location. We had a great time. It was exactly what we were looking for. The property was very clean and everything we needed to have a good stay. The bedrooms were very comfortable. We greatly recommend that home. The owners were really helpful. We will go back anytime.

group of 5 including 2 teens. arrived on a monday to leave on friday for a 3 day skiing at sunday River. we had a blast! sunday River was sublime and the house on Songo Pond was outstanding, beyond expectations. its cozyness and warmth was all we could ask for. i recommand it big times. we all enjoyed it so much. without a doubt we will go back again and again!

Ski Weekend Getaway

Lovely house, beautiful location, great vacation! This was not our first time skiing in Maine however this was the first time we stayed off the mountain. We could not have been more pleased with the choice we made to stay at Songo Dreams! For a family of 4 and a dog it had everything we needed. The house was well equipped from kitchen to bath and everything in between. It was well maintained with everything in working order and layed out very efficiently for its size. The decor was homey and tasteful. The weather was VERY cold but the house was warm and comfortable. Just what was needed after a long day out on the slopes which were just minutes away. We cooked in each night (but that is typical for us) and were able to relax and rest to ready ourselves for the next day. The kids and the dog enjoyed going out on the frozen pond and watching the families of birds outside the dining window each morning. I've never seen such fat Bluejays!!! Many kudos to Don and Janet for all their effort to make their vacation house such a home for others to enjoy.

A Wonderful Retreat

I hesitate to tell the truth about our stay at the cottage for fear of having open dates to rent when we come back. And we will come back. The relaxation of our trip was indescribable. We spent almost all of our waking minutes on the dock enjoying the lake and the breezes. The thoughtful amenties and tranquility recharged our work-weary batteries. Whether we were fishing, canoeing or just napping, we knew we had found a gem. Our families came from near and far to visit and wanted to know when we would be back so they could come back out and stay. We have described this paradise as a place where, if you want to do something, there is so much to do. And if you don't want to do anything, it is the perfect place to do it. Thank you to the Tanguays for the opportunity to share this slice of heaven.
