Just 15 miles south of Santa Barbara, Carpinteria is an ideal little beach town with charming shops and great restaurants. Downtown area is within walking distance or you can hop the shuttle just steps away on the sidewalk. This beach is an wonderful place to swim or surf. This location not only provides ocean views from almost every window and the deck, but also stunning mountain and salt marsh views. Across the street from protected wetlands you can walk the path and view wild birds year round. Walk south and see seals. Drive north to Santa Barbara or to the Santa Ynez wine country. Golf, sailing, and trips to the Channel Islands are just minutes away. In the summer kayaking, surfing, and snorkeling lessons are available at the city boat house across the street. Lifeguard on duty all Summer.

Nearest Airport: Carpinteria at 25 Miles
Carpinteria is a year round destination. Avocado Festival in Oct. Santa Barbara Festival in the Summer. Live Oak Music Festival Father's Day weekend. Santa Barbara also has live theatre, night clubs, world class dining, marina and pier, museums, art galleries, Santa Barbara Mission, and the Montecito Zoo. There are dozens of golf courses all less then an hour away as well as many hiking and mountain biking trails. Ventura to the south offers Channel Island trips and whale watching.

We love Carpinteria!

The Rental Agent Lynn was wonderful, professional, and very friendly.
We live in mountains, and this is a perfect place on the beach to get away.
It is private, yet easy access to beach and town.
Kitchen fully equipped, needs a little TLC.
WE would give it a “5” rating, but the master bed sucks. Should have brought an air mattress.

Eating out, been coming to Carp for twelve years, never tried the SPOT, till now: don’t look like much, but the food is GOOD.

Esau's Café, friendly, great breakfast, for what its worth we noticed the local PD eats there frequently.

Giovanni's, best to go off hours, the place gets pretty busy. Enjoy

We love to stay here, it's close to the beach and the view from the patio is very pretty.
