On over two acres of Oceanfront, 'Bayberry' Cottage at Ridgevale Beach faces the temperate waters of Nantucket Sound. It is ideally situated at Ridgevale Beach and the mouth of 'Buck's Creek' a beautiful tidal estuary offering great swimming, boating, and shellfishing, as well as spectacular views. Shorebirds, from tiny Sanderlings to the Great Blue Heron, are frequent visitors. The Sundeck provides a relaxing spot for enjoying it all.
Inside, each window frames a portrait of open ocean, river, or salt marsh. The cottage is heated, and comfortably furnished with fireplaced living room, full kitchen, two bedrooms, and bath. CABLE TV, VCR, DVD, WIRELESS INTERNET, AIR CONDITIONING and outdoor gas grills and kayaks are also provided. In addition, the cottage has a private outdoor shower, a simple and delicious pleasure after a day on the beach.
We are open year round, and between November and March, are treated to fantastic ocean sunsets! For summertime, reservations are necessary well in advance. In the quieter off-seasons, we can often accommodate guests on short notice.
Just a wonderful place to stay in a superb location for our anniversary holiday. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable stay here for a week in October. The quiet beach is seconds away and lovely for a walk first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening to catch the sun going down. Within easy reach of Chatham but far enough away to have your own space. Scott is both a wonderful host and pleasant to deal with (as well as his mother!). Many thanks and thoroughly recommended by us!
The cottage had a great location, right next to the beach. It's also centrally located on the Cape, easy to get to Hyannis and other locations. The cottage had everything we needed for our week long stay. Scott was very helpful recommending restaurants. I highly recommend this cottage.
Could not have asked for a better situated or more peaceful cottage. Very close to a lovely sandy beach which was incredibly quiet in September. Super outside deck area, ideal for watching beautiful sunsets. Cottage had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Scott was very helpful and welcoming. Especially enjoyed the kayaks which come with the cottage. All in all we had a fantastic week and can't wait to return
I cried the morning we left. That says it all! It was immaculate, beautiful, serene. If you are going to Cape Cod, pick Chatham and pick Seaside Cottages. If we had sat down and planned everything we wanted in advance, we couldn't have done better. It was exactly what we were dreaming of for our 40th wedding anniversary trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chatham Seaside "Daisy" Cottage. The location is within steps to the beach, and the cottage is sparkling clean. The photos of the cottages are accurate and depict what a lovely location it is. The owner, Scott, is very friendly and eager to help make your stay enjoyable. The cottage has access to kayaks, beach chairs, picnic tables and outdoor grills with propane. It's a great spot for fisherman too. There really was nothing more we could've needed, except for maybe a washer/dryer but who wants to do laundry on vacation anyway? :) Even though the cottage is small in size, it's great for a family with small children due to it's proximity to the beach. It's easy to walk back to the cottage for naps, lunch, etc. The tidal pools at the beach are a terrific way to entertain kids. We highly recommend staying at Chatham Seaside Cottages, especially if you are interested in staying close to the beach!
A great rental property and location! First of all, the description and photographs of the property matched exactly our expectations: it was clean, fresh, comfortable, and well-maintained. What we could not appreciate from the pictures was the open landscape: ocean, inlet, and wetlands, which surrounded the property. As a result, there was a constant breeze blowing through the cottage from every direction. Picnic table, lawn chairs, comfortable front porch, and an enclosed outdoor shower extended the useable outdoor space beautifully. Just a few steps away was a wooden bridge/walkway over to the beach. Bird watching, kayaking, bicycling were all within an easy distance (we were able to bike to the Cape Cod Rail Trail from the cottage). Scott was extremely helpful, got us settled in, and made himself available if we had any questions. We would absolutely recommend this cottage to family and friends, and hope to return ourselves!
