Fantabulous!

The Lodge on the Ridge could not be more perfect as a place to stay on a family vacation.
We took our family of 5 (children's ages ranged from 9 to 22 months) to our second trip to Chattanooga. The pictures do not do this place justice. It has a fantastic floor plan, all the comforts of home, and ameneties galore.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with an impeccably clean house, a wonderful note from the owner, and a menu from a take-out service. We couldn't have been more at home. We had plenty of room, and the kids loved the stairs and the flat screen TV's. If only things were that simple at home!
The living area has a nice kitchen, modern appliances, including a glass-top stove, a large dining area, a spacious sitting area, and a sleeping nook -- which I have to say was a favorite architectural detail. I wish I had one at my house. With windows surrounding the living area, you can get a view of the bustling city below no matter where you sit. Some may be put off by the fact there is no TV in this area, but it is perfectly suited for quiet relaxation. From here you have access to a porch to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon lemonade. We were even enthralled by the lightening bug show every evening at dusk.
Also on this level is a half bath and laundry room with a reasonably sized washer and dryer. With three children, I definitely took advantage of this convenience and left with no laundry to do once I got home.
The bedrooms and full bath are upstairs. The master suite is equipped with a sitting area and flat panel TV. With the recliners and sofa, this is a perfect place to unwind, read, and watch TV after sight-seeing all day. The bed and pillows in the master suite are hotel quality. I overslept every morning because I just couldn't pull myself away from this decadent retreat.
The smaller bedroom is cozy with its own TV and closet. The bath is quaint and is equipped with an ironing board and iron. There are plenty of extra blankets and pillows. This place is 100 times more comfortable than any hotel room and well worth the price. The area is quiet and clean, and we couldn't have been happier with The Lodge on the Ridge.
